This is an oldie but a goodie that I just picked up recently. The most notable song on Semisonic's 3rd album is "Closing Time" which is a great single by itself. Ironically, "Closing Time" begins the album and sets the tone for the following songs.
There are a few weaker songs with so-so lyrics and very light melodies but for the majority, this is just a really good mellow-out cd. It's ideal for getting homework done by, to listen to while you're reading or even if you just feel like relaxing. Songs like "Never You Mind" and "This Will Be My Year" will have you mumbling lyrics after only a few times.
Although it's an old cd, it's definitely worth a listen. And you can find it cheap now at your local music store! So check out Semisonic; a sound like Ben Folds Five and a little bit of Vertical Horizon put together but twice the melody!
