SUICIDE BOMBER QUOTES 2PAC
2Pac news reports are
like busses, you wait ages for one, and then tons come at the same time.
The latest news puts a dampener onto the spirit of decent Tupac fans.
Recently in Finland Petri Gerdt, a 19-year-old student took a 3kg home
made bomb to a shopping mall in Finland and blew it up outside a
McDonald’s killing six people and himself in the process. It is believed
that he obtained instructions to make a bomb on a chemistry related
message board. In his posts on this message board, the bomber quotes a
famous 2pac line
"I ain't a
killer but don't push me...Revenge is like the sweetest joy next to gettin'
pussy".
The bomber, 'R.C', was a regular poster on
the chemistry board, and even had the word 'Killuminati' in his board
signature.
Obviously, the media is too quick to report
the Tupac reference, and inadvertedly blames Tupac and the music industry
in general...It's time that the hip hop nation took a stand against such
outrageous accusations.

KRS-ONE
NELLY DISS
This is by no
means a 'new' diss, but it was made in the past few months and made me
giggle. Fans of real hip hop, bask in KRS' glory as he attacks Nelly:
(excuse the bad grammar, I copied it from a site)
[CHORUS]
My rhymes still be ill
You don't really want it
I suggest you chill
You don't really want it
#1 I'm still
You don't really want it
The prophecy is fulfilled
You don't really want it
KRS in the streets
You don't really want it
I drop the rawest beats
You don't really want it
No ice just heat
You don't really want it
Playa face defeat
That was a nice try Nelly
I don't mean to be bold, but put that "Hot in herre" bullshit on
hold
And let's get down to the facts of the matter
In the dictionary under wack rap, you the rapper
It's simply cuz you're lacking the spectacular vernacular
And hip hop's character seems to be in back of ya
Either that or you're truly amateur
I'm askin ya, how does it feel to have the whole world laughin at ya?
You just too stupid to see
I was made on the streets, you was made on MTV
How you gonna talk about my nose to attack me?
When you steady guzzlin them pills for your acne?
My nose comes from a line of kings
Your acne comes from you eatin the wrong things
Your words don't make me hurt, they make you work
You'll hurt when you find it's you gettin jerked
I tell ya, it don't take me to say
Don't buy your album, street cats ain't buyin it anyway
You tellin me make up my mind
Yet on your album, you don't know if you wanna sing, or rhyme
[CHORUS]
You tryin to diss me? How?
If it wasn't for the true-school your bitch-ass wouldn't be here now
Blau blau, show me respect from the gate
Or I'ma have to drown you kids like Andrea Yates
You can't handle the break, I'm a flamethrowa, you a bic lighta
You think I'm cocky cuz you a dickrida
I spit tighter
I'm not like all the rest I'm not a playa but I did stay at a Holiday Inn
Express
So nevertheless I'ma teach ya, teach ya
But when them slugs hit you, you'll be screamin, "Momma, EI! EI!"
You never seen me sing? You don't know what I bring?
You'll be singing the blues like BB King
I'm all about the unity of Miss and Mistas
You all about grabbin money and dissin our sistas
Take your ass back to TV land
And let this be a lesson, you can't see me man!
[CHORUS]
Just when I thought I could do my gospel
And become an apostle I got a whole to get hostile
I don't mean to knock ya Nelly
But ain't you that MTV house nigga with a spine like jelly?
I'ma do this by the book, for the art
I heard what you said on BET's 106 and Park
But what you don't know, is right around the corner on 3rd
I hold a Desert Eagle, and no, it's not a bird
You sound absurd, you're gonna bring ME back?
I taught all year round the spot ??? had
Copycat, with sloppy raps, you chill with N'Sync, I chill where hip hop be
at
[CHORUS]
JAY, BEYONCE AND TONI IN 2PAC
ROW.

Get ready for
a blast from the past when you hear two songs sampling 2Pac's
'Me & My Girlfriend'. Jay-Z and
rumoured new girlfriend Beyonce Knowles have
recently recorded a version of the track, entitled 'Bonnie & Clyde',
for use on Jay's new album, 'Blueprint 2'. However, the pair are not the
only people to sample this track lately, since Toni
Braxton; with a little help from Murder Inc mogul Irv
Gotti; has made her own interpretation of the track.
Braxton insists that she was first to pick up on the sampling idea. her
spokesperson released the following statement:
An Arista spokesperson said
Braxton invited a friend from Def Jam, Jigga's label, to listen to the
song a few months back.
"Imagine our
surprise after turning on the radio and hearing the new Jay Z single
'Bonnie &Clyde,' featuring Beyoncé,"
the spokesperson said.
"It's the same song.
They even use the same Tupac sample. Frankly, she is insulted and
disappointed."
Braxton said, "Jay-Z
and Beyoncé are messing with my money. They're trying to steal my mojo."
ABSOLUTE
DYNAMITE-EE
Red hot UK R&B
sensation Ms Dynamite, real
name Niomi Daley, picked up three gongs at this year’s MasterCard MOBO
Awards, capping her Mercury Music Prize win a fortnight ago. The glitzy
awards ceremony, which took place on October 1 at London Arena, was hosted
by Alesha Dixon of
Mis-Teeq and rap legend LL
Cool J. My Dynamite, 21, picked up awards for Best
Newcomer, UK Act Of The Year and Single Of The Year, for her
socially-conscious ditty, 'It Takes More'.
Other winners on the night
included Alicia Keys,
who managed to prevent Ms Dynamite from scooping a fourth gong as she
landed the Best Album prize herself for 'Songs In A Minor'. Ashanti
scooped two MOBOs for her troubles, while her washboard-stomached mate Ja
Rule also received a nod, in the form of Best Hip-Hop
Act. Mis-Teeq were named Best
Garage Act, The Neptunes
received the Best Producer prize, and Chaka Khan was
honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award.
Late R&B stars
Aaliyah and Lisa 'Left Eye'
Lopes both won posthumous awards. Aaliyah, who died in
a plane crash in August 2001, took the Best Video prize for 'More Than A
Woman', while Lopes, killed in a car accident in Honduras earlier this
year, was given an Outstanding Achievement award.
Among the performers at
last night’s MOBOs was Southampton born,
Craig David, who marked his UK
live return with a rendition of his forthcoming new single, 'What's Your
Flava'.
LEFT EYE TRIBUTE
Missy Elliott
has teamed with TLC's Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli"
Thomas to record a tribute to Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and other
R&B and hip-hop stars who have passed away in recent months. The song,
"Can You Hear Me," closes out Elliott's forthcoming Under
Construction, due November 12.
"[It's a] very personal
record," Elliott said. "It was hard, very hard. I cried when I
wrote it and cried when I sung it."
Miss E produced the track herself, along with three
others on the record. The rest of the album, the rapper's fourth, was
produced by Timbaland with Elliott co-producing. Guests on the follow-up
to 2001's Miss E ... So Addictive include Jay-Z, Ludacris, Destiny's Child
singer Beyoncé Knowles, Method Man and Ms. Jade. Elliott said she's a big
fan of each of the collaborators on her album.
"Ludacris is hot, and
he's just true Southern hospitality. There's just something about him that
when you see him, ... you think about chicken, macaroni and cheese, and
all that," Elliott
said.
NEW AALIYAH ALBUM?
Fourteen months
after the tragic death of Aaliyah,
it has been announced that an album of previously unreleased material from
the R&B star will hit the shelves. The as-yet-untitled LP will feature
a number of new Aaliyah tracks recorded before her death, as well as
remixes of previous singles and album tracks. The album can be expected as
early as November, according to reports.
Aaliyah died in a plane crash in August 2001,
shortly after take-off from an airport in the Bahamas following a video
shoot. She follows in the footsteps of Elvis Presley and Nirvana
frontman Kurt Cobain with a
posthumous album release. In other Aaliyah news, the late singer and
actress, was among the winners at last week’s MOBO Awards in London.
Aaliyah won the gong for Best Video for 'More Than A Woman'.
