2002 has been a banner year for the fellas in Swollen Members. Over the last 12 months the Vancouver-based hip-hop group have seen their album Bad Dreams take off like wild fire, they've won about a bazillion awards (Junos, MMVAs, blah, blah, blah) and they've played in just about every Canadian town that would have 'em. So how does a group like Swollen Members cap off such a stellar year? With more shows, of course.
Prevail, Mad Child and now-official SM members Rob The Viking and Moka Only will play a chunk of dates in their home province of B.C., with a couple of one-offs, including a New Year's eve gig in Calgary. They haven't announced any dates for 2003, but we're guessing there will be plenty.
Swollen Members are currently pushing their latest CD, Monsters In The Closet, a B-sides compilation that was released this summer. The CD includes a contribution by long-time SM friend and international superstar Nelly Furtado plus a kickin' remix of the insanely catchy "Fuel Injected," featuring help from fellow Canadian hip-hopper Saukrates.
