I glance your way,
And see you smile.
My heart instantly forgets the past.
I watch as you read.
Search your mysterious face.
Wonder what anguish you've been through.
Have you ever loved?
Do you know how it feels?
Can I get to know you?
My heart begs me to ask!
I want to know of you.
I want to feel your touch.
I want to learn to love again.
But something holds me back.
As I sit here and listen,
To your words from your heart.
I wonder if I have the courage,
To attempt with someone so perfect.
Your eyes slowly meet mine.
As though caught in a trance.
We don't move.
You search my soul,
Looking for something.
I search your heart,
Reading your hopes and dreams.
I wonder what you're thinking.
I wonder how you feel.
I look into your eyes?
Feel the excitement of you touching my soul.
O, Lord can there really be?
Someone so perfect?
I take you in my memory.
Memorizing all I can.
Because I have a feeling,
I'll see you once again.
