This is the only Orwell Novel were the 

American Edition preceded the English,

This must make it the most attractive to

collectors. 

(Although an amazing amount of dealers

don't realise   this is the true first)

This edition is beautifully put together 

with orange calico grain cloth on boards

and off white floral swirl endpapers. 

Orwell described this as the 'true first edition'

as opposed to the first English which he described as

'a garbled version, and should NOT be followed for

any new edition'
