| Schedule |

August 18, 2001-- We left for the Golden State at 6 am Philly time. Our plane flew over the Grand Canyon, what a sight! We arrived in Los Angeles around noon Cali time. We went to Hollywood and visited Mann's Chinese Theater and the Walk of Fame. We also visited the Hollywood Entertainent Museum, where Barry Williams (Greg Brady) from The Brady Bunch and MacKenzie Philips from One Day at a Time were filming a commercial for the E! True Hollywood Story. Yes, I was amongst the stars, lol. I also got to sit on the actual set of Cheers!

August 19, 2001-- We took a 2 hour drive south to the San Diego Zoo. It's a very nice zoo, but I wasn't too impressed with the cage sizes.

August 20, 2001-- We went to Universal Studios, Hollywood. My brother and I survived Jurassic Park III: The Ride, which has an 84 foot waterfall drop! On the tram tour of the studios, we saw Melina Kanakaredes from NBC's Providence on a coffee break, and she waved to us! Famous people everywhere, lol. On the way home, we got lost in downtown Los Angeles, and let me tell you, at 10 o'clock at night, the place is dead! There are no people anywhere and everything is closed up! But we got a nice night view of the city.

August 21, 2001-- We went to Disneyland. We had premium seating for Disney's Fantasmic! and fireworks display. No one puts on fireworks quite like Disney :)

August 22, 2001-- We went to Disney's California Adventure. My brother and I survived California Screamin' (a rollercoaster) three times in a row! We had premium seating for Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade.

August 23-24, 2001-- We went to Disneyland/DCA. We also did mucho shopping at Downtown Disney.

August 25, 2001-- We left the Golden State at approximately 2 pm Cali time and arrived in Philly at 11 pm Philly time.

The street sign says it all! Our first stop was the famous Hollywood Boulevard, road of the stars, the sights, and the strange people...

Along Hollywood Boulevard lies the Walk of Fame, where famous people get their names printed on a star on the sidewalk. Such stars include Kelsey Grammer, Harrison Ford, and yes, the Beatles.

Also on Hollywood Boulevard is the famous Mann's Chinese Theater. The handprints of the stars are on a large concrete area in front of the theater.

This is the entrance to Universal Studios, Hollywood. Here you can take a tram tour of the studios and the backlot, and ride the thrilling Jurassic Park III: The Ride, which takes you over an 84 ft. waterfall drop!

This is Sleeping Beauty's Castle, located directly in the center of the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland. It doesn't measure up to Cinderella's Castle in Disney World, but it's still pretty.

You never know who you'll run into in Disneyland! This is me and Pluto, my favorite Disney character. (Yes, I'm wearing glasses, don't laugh! There was something wrong with my eye and I couldn't wear my contacts for the whole trip!)

This is California Screamin', Disney's newest thrill ride. It launches you up the first hill at 55 mph and later you plummit down a 108 ft. drop and loop through the Mickey head. They don't call it Screamin' for nothing!
