NARUTO episode 59 summary

The main matches of the Chuunin Exam are tomorrow, and Naruto's a bit glum. He doesn't get any sleep that night because he's worried about his battle with Neji.

The day of the match, he takes a route to the stadium that passes through the training grounds where he became a genin. Hinata's there, waiting for Kiba to go watch Shino's battle. They talk a little and Naruto admits that the only reason he's loud and obnoxious is because he doesn't like to admit that he is weak. Hinata tells him that she thinks Naruto can beat Neji. She believes that he's truly strong because he can always get back up when he falls. This cheers Naruto up a lot and he tells her that he used to think she was just a dark, shy, and weird girl; but, someone like her, he really likes.

Naruto spends too much time standing around and chatting, he realizes he is going to be late to his battle. He runs through the streets panicking until Konohamaru calls out to him from an alley. Konohamaru wants to help Naruto-niichan and offers to show him some secret shortcuts. A few things go wrong, and they end up at the hot springs-even further from the stadium than where they started off. Konohamaru suggests that Naruto ride one of the "special" bulls to the stadium, but Naruto manages to tick the bull off and it starts charging after him, targeting the red symbol on his back. Other bulls in the streets target him too and pretty soon Naruto finds himself leading a massive stampede through the streets. He creates Kage Bunshin to act as decoys, but the bulls have blocked all the streets. Naruto and his Kage Bunshin get stuck crowding at the entrance until he gets butted in. He skids to the arena, where most of the finalists have already lined up. Sasuke is still missing, and so is Dosu (well, we know what happened to him). The referee of the main matches, Genma, tells them to let the audience see their faces. They are the stars of this festival.
