Ashleigh and Nick laid in each others arms as they finished watching the movie.
"So what do you wanna do?" Nick asked, sitting up.
"I dunno. What do you wanna do?" she replied.
"I dunno....what do you wanna..." Nick smiled, knowing where this was going. "Okay, I'll decide." Ashleigh laughed. "Wanna take the jet skis down to the lake?"
"Sure!" Ashleigh said. They always took AJ's jet skis to the huge lake about 10 minutes from his house. Ashleigh jumped off the couch and pulled Nick up. She jumped on his back as they laughed. "Carry me upstairs!" she laughed. They ran through the house and he stopped at the stairs. She hopped off his back.
"I'll go change and meet you back down here...do you have an extra pair of trunks?" she asked.
"Yeah, I have some in my car so I'll go get them," he said, heading outside. Ashleigh smiled and ran upstairs. She got ready and grabbed some towels from the closet. She put a pair of shorts over her boy-cut shorts and put on a visor over her hair. She walked downstairs and saw Nick waiting for her. "Uh he looks soo good," she said to herself, seeing Nick without a shirt on. He was thinking the same thing about her.
"Ready?" she asked, as he starred at her.
"Oh...uh yeah," he said, snapping back into reality. "We can hook the skis to my Durango. Do you have their keys?"
Ashleigh grabbed the keys and her sunglasses.
"Let's jet before my parents get back," Ashleigh said, as they left the house. Nick attached the carrier to the back of his Durango and they climbed into his car. Nick drove to the lake. He put on a pair of sunglasses to avoid being noticed but luckily, no one else was there. They pulled into the park and backed up into the dock. Nick put the car in park and the two hopped out and let the jet skis off into the water. Nick went off to park the car and came back with their towels, lawn chairs and mini-cooler.
“Don’t crash these like you crashed your boat,” Ashleigh said, laughing.
“Very funny,” Nick mumbled.
"Okay, here's your life jacket," Ashleigh said, tossing it at Nick. He caught it and put it on. She took off her shorts and put her jacket over her top. Nick couldn't take his eyes off of her and she looked up at him.
"Wipe off that drool, Carter," she joked, tossing him a set of keys.
"Do you wanna race first?" Nick asked.
"Sure, I get the blue one," Ashleigh called out, jumping on the faster one.
"Are you sure? AJ said the brakes are acting up again," Nick warned.
"Aww you big baby, you're just mad because this one is your favorite," Ashleigh laughed. Nick splashed her with water.
''Aww you're on Matthews," Nick said, climbing onto his ski. They started them and Nick looked over at her. "Ready? Set..GO!" Nick shouted, flooring it before she could start. She squeezed the gas and caught up with him.
"Cheater!" she yelled over the water. She made a sharp turn and soaked him with water. She looked over her shoulder to see him catching up. She laughed and sped up. He caught up and did the exact same thing. They were laughing hysterically while they raced. They were almost neck and neck but Ashleigh was leading. She tried to slow down but the gas handle wouldn't let up. She fiddled with the handle and she still couldn't slow down. Nick looked over and noticed her panicked look.
"What's wrong?" he shouted over to her.
"The brake!" she shouted.
"Just jump off!" Nick shouted. The keys had a wrist band that they wore so whenever someone would fall off, the ski would automatically stop. Nick pulled up next to her and she hopped off and into the water. Nick grabbed her arm before she could go under and pulled her onto his. The jet ski stopped and they watched it float in the water.
"Oh my god!" Ashleigh said, catching her breath.
"Are you okay?" Nick asked as she shook with fear.
"Yeah, I'm fine," she said. Nick stopped completely in the middle of the lake. He climbed behind her and put his arms over her and his hands over hers on the handles.
"It's okay...I got ya," he whispered into her ear. She felt chills when he whispered into her ear. Nick started the ski again and they sped off. Nick pressed himself against her and he could smell her shampoo as her hair blew in the wind. He was so in love with her and he couldn't hide the fact that he wanted her badly. They skied on the beautiful lake and Nick started squeezing the gas harder so they went faster.
"You're going too fast!!" she cried over the noise.
"Whimp!" he teased.
"I don't need two run-ins with death today!!" she yelled. Nick laughed and kissed the back of her neck. He made a sharp turn and they both went into the water. They came to the surface and Nick laughed at the site of Ashleigh. She was spitting out water and trying to get her hair out of her face.
"You dork!" she laughed.
"Whimp!" he said again. She splashed him.
"I'm not a whimp!" she cried.
"You can't even jet ski without having a little fun," he laughed. She splashed him again. "Aww...you're dead baby," he said, swimming after her. She laughed and swam away from him. He grabbed her foot and pulled her under water. She pulled him under with her and they came to the surface. She wrapped her legs around his waist as they floated in the water.
''Speeding up to 60 isn't fun," Ashleigh laughed.
"No...but 70 is," Nick said, laughing harder. They were floating in the water and Ashleigh could feel chills go through her body. It felt so good to feel his body next to hers.
''Nick..." she whispered.
"Hmm..?" he asked, kissing her neck.
"I love the way..." she whispered.
"Hmm?" he said, still kissing her.
"The way..I drive the skis better than you!!" she shouted, swimming up to the ski. He swam after her and she pulled him up with her. He laughed and she started up the engine.
"Whose the whimp now?!" she asked, as Nick held onto her waist as she started to drive. She started to speed up to top him but once she reached 50, she started slowing down.
"Aww come on baby! Floor it!" he cried. He put his hands over hers and grabbed the handle. They flew across the water with Ashleigh screaming and laughing. Nick pulled up to the shore and slowed down. Ashleigh caught her breath and Nick jumped off and pulled the other jet ski in.
"Whimp, whimp, whimp," he sang, teasing her.
"Ohh Carter," she growled, as she got off the ski and pulled it in next to the other one. He laughed. He loved making her mad and when she got mad, she always called him Carter.
"Oh baby, you know I love making you scared," he said, as they walked up on the sand. They grabbed their towels and dried off.
''You scared the shit out of me!" Ashleigh cried out.
"Mission accomplished!" he cheered. She swatted his arm. He wrapped his arms around her and starred into her eyes.
"Nick.." Ashleigh said, getting serious. She gazed into his eyes and he wanted her more and more.
"Yes?" he breathed. She ran her fingers through his hair and down his neck, which drove him wild. Their lips met and they kissed each other passionately.
"I'm sorry," Ashleigh breathed on his neck.
"For what?" he asked, too indulged by her kiss.
"THIS!" she screamed, pushing him into the water. She laughed as he swam up to the surface.
''Alright! That's it!" he yelled, picking her up and holding her over the water.
"No!" she laughed, trying to catch her breath. "Don't toss me in, Carter!"
"Okay..." he said, pretending to set her down. She looked relieved but he smiled devishly. "SIKE!" he shouted, tossing her into the water. She came up to surface and coughed on the water she swallowed. Nick laughed and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"You look so cute when you swallow water," he teased her, smiling.
"Shut up," she laughed.
"I love you," he said.
"Yeah yeah, I love you too," she laughed.
~~~a week later~~~
"Oh baby, I don't wanna leave," Gwen whined as she packed her bag. AJ and Gwen spent the rest of the week in Hawaii for their honeymoon and they were leaving that afternoon. AJ walked out of the bathroom in a towel and got his shirt from the dresser.
"I know, I don't either. But our bed at home awaits," AJ said, wrapping his arms around his wife.
"I bet we'll be bombarded with press when we get back," Gwen said, tracing his six-pact with her finger.
"Nah, Mom said she took care of everything," AJ said, kissing her neck.
"Aww man, my parents are gonna be pissed when we get back," Gwen said.
"Don't worry about it Honey. We're married now, everything is great," AJ said, kissing her. Gwen turned around and zipped up her bag.
"Babe, where are my pants?" AJ asked. Gwen laughed.
"Over on the couch," Gwen said. AJ found them and changed. He threw his towel on the floor in their bathroom.
"I'm gonna miss that Jacuzzi," AJ said. Gwen saw the towel on the floor. She walked over and picked it up. She folded it and put it on the counter. "Housekeeping does that," AJ said, about the towel.
"AJ, the world doesn't revolve around you," Gwen laughed.
"That's not what you said last night," AJ grinned in a sexy smile. Gwen rolled her eyes.
"You're all about sex," she joked. He grabbed her waist and started kissing her passionately.
"We....have...a...flight," Gwen said, between kisses.
"It can wait," AJ said, as he unbuttoned Gwen's shirt. She shrugged and started taking off his belt. They were getting hot and ready but the sound of the phone interrupted them.
"Let it ring," AJ whined as he unfastened her bra. They ignored it and continued on but the phone kept ringing.
"Dammit," AJ growled. Gwen sighed and climbed off the bed. She started putting her shirt back on as AJ picked up the phone.
"What?!" AJ mumbled into the phone. He listened and hung up the phone.
"Who was it?" Gwen asked, fixing her hair.
"The limo is ready," AJ sighed. Gwen laughed.
''We stopped for that?!" she asked. They got their bags and checked their room for anything that belonged to them. AJ grabbed the mini-shampoo bottles and stuffed them in his coat pocket. Gwen grabbed his hand and they left for the airport.
