Nick read the address on the paper and it matched up to the apartment door he was looking at. He had never been so nervous in his life. He lifted his shaking hand to the door and knocked. He could hear footsteps running to the door and Jada opened it.
"Come in," she said. Nick walked into the apartment and his eyes wondered over to the little boy sitting at the computer. He had beautiful blonde hair that looked white in the sunlight. The little boy turned around and Nick could feel his heart stopped. He was starring at his twin. The little boy had the clearest and purest blue eyes he'd ever saw. The boy smiled and without taking his eyes off of him, Nick walked over to Connor. He bent down to his level and stared his son in the eyes.
"Hi," the little boy sang. Nick put his hand to Connor's cheek and rubbed his thumb against his soft skin. Connor was his clone. He looked nothing like Jada; which Nick concluded was a good thing.
"Hi Sport," Nick croaked, trying to find his voice.
"Why you crying?" the little boy wondered.
"I'm happy," Nick answered as a tear fell down his cheek.
"Daddy?" the little boy asked, cocking his head to the side. Nick took a deep breath.
"Yes, Connor. I'm your daddy."

Ashleigh sat outside because she couldn't stand to be in their house and be surrounded by things that reminded her of Nick. She was so furious at him that she couldn't see straight. She got up and walked into their house and dead-locked all the doors so Nick couldn't get in with just his key. She activated their house alarm and went upstairs. She had been crying all day and didn't know what to do. She wanted to move out but then again, she paid for half of the house. She wanted Nick to move out but the house was half his too. She didn't know what to think. She climbed into bed and hugged her knees to her chest. She sat in thought and then suddenly gasped. If Nick slept with this girl two years ago why did he all the sudden tell her now? She knew Nick and Nick would never have a sudden hit of conscience. Something had to have come up. Ashleigh's heart stopped. She knew.

"He was born on June 15," Jada said, to Nick. Nick was listening to her but couldn't take his eyes off of his son, who was playing with his legos.
"He's so beautiful," Nick said.
"Nick, I know you want nothing to do with me. But I wanted Connor to meet his daddy....before he looses his mommy," she said, almost in tears. He looked over at her.
"Jada, I've been thinking. I want to take custody of Connor," he said. Jada was silent. It was hard to for to come into reality with her disease.
"Nick, how can you? You're career is so demanding and once the fans find out you have a son, you'll be done," Jada said.
"I don't care, Jada. Connor means everything to me now. I want to be the best dad I can," Nick said.
Jada was silent again. "I think you taking full custody would be the best idea. The doctors said I have seven months. I'd rather Connor live happily with his daddy instead of seeing me suffer," she said, in tears. Nick handed her a tissue and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Everything will work out," Nick said.
"Did you tell your fiancée?" Jada asked, wiping her eyes.
"Not about Connor," Nick answered, quietly.
"Nick, you have to tell her. It's not fair to her," Jada protested.
"I know and I will," Nick said. He looked back at his son playing and walked over to him.
"Hey buddy, want to build a Lego city?" Nick asked.
"Lego city?" the little boy wondered.
"Yeah, look..." Nick said, as they started to build. Jada watched her son and Nick play as tears raced down her cheeks. She couldn't stand to watch her son as she was sick. It hurt her even more. She had to give Nick full custody.
