![]() Cecile's 85th Birthday at Juliet's Taken in 1963 According to the 1910 census, Winton at age 33 was a farm laborer. According to the 1920 census they lived on New Road in Marksville. Cecile was a saint if there ever was one. She had callouses on her knees from praying so hard for her family. She was a gifted seamstress. We were all so very, very poor but we were dressed in the latest fashion thanks to Li'l Granma! She had beautiful flowers: roses, sweetpeas, cosmos and four o'clocks. She was sweet and softspoken but I remember once when she was aggravated with Georgette, she whacked her on the head with the handle of a table knife! |
