The History of theBlack Knight Karate Association Master Edward M. Brown Jr. started the Black Knight Karate Association in 1974 in Lafayette Louisiana. Even though he studied many styles he chose the foundation of Japanese Go Ju to be the bases of the Association. At this time the President was Instructor Samuel Ruben. During this time Master Brown was still in the armed forces and left and went to Korea, after returning from Korea he went to Ft. Bliss, TX. in 1980 where he started another branch of the association. During this he also created a demonstration team and a fighting team. The Black Knights expanded throughout Germany, Korea, and various parts of the United States. In 1999 Master Brown moved the headquarters Down to Port St. Luci, Fl. We now have and still have several schools around the U. S. and are growing constantly. Below are some of the First Black Knights of the Black Knight Karate Association.
