Happy Valentine Birthday, Pat.

You know what they say about "blood being thicker than water."
Our lives took different paths, our interests have been different; we were simply different from the time
we were born. We didn't even look alike ~ you look like Daddy's side; I look like Mother's. But,
underneath it all, we are also so much alike in so many ways, and we seem to understand each other more
as we grow older. I didn't say "old," just older.

Your sons, Tommy (and Patti) and Andy (and Mary Jo), your grandchildren, Brooke, Teddy, Jennifer,
Tommy, Jr., Benny, Jonathan and Trevor and your great-grandchildren, Tristan, Tyler and Braydon
all are close and dear to me.

Like branches on a tree, we grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one.
Each of our lives will always be a special part of the other.

As sisters, our hearts

are intertwined
in a history of shared memories.
We lived the same childhood,
broke many of the same rules,
and learned lessons from one another
and from life.

Because of this, you understand not
only where I've come from,
but who I really am.

As sisters, we each have chosen our own
path in life. Yet our paths inevitably
converge again and again as time goes by,
for they never lose sight of their origin.

Over the years, we've talked and laughed,
listened and cried, supported and
understood in ways no one else could.
Even when we don't see eye to eye,
I know you only want the best

just as I do for you.

No matter what else happens in my life ~
