Our Father
Our Father, Lord most holy, in whom we live and breathe, We worship, we adore, and make our humble pleas. Most holy, precious God, from whom all blessings flow, We desire to praise you, love you, and more of you to know. O Father in heaven, we offer our stubborn will to yours So on this earth, just as in heaven, your holy will endures. Help us to know our bread and water only comes from you For we cannot receive any good thing apart from you, 'tis true. We want to forgive each other because you first forgave us So much so, you gave your Son while we were only dust. Even before we knew you were, dear Lord our God, You created laws to help us, we call your Holy Rod. Keep us from selfish, evil thoughts that would us separate From your holy will because we know that in your Holy Gate There will be love and peace forever in this, your Eternal Home Where all glory, honor, and power is eternally yours alone. ~ Hilna Watters Long, author Thanks to my good friend Hilna for
