Tender Loving Care
(Playing
~ "Put a Little Love In Your Heart")
"There's something in a simple hug that
always warms the heart.
It welcomes us back home and makes it easier to part.
A hug's a way to share the joy and sad times
we go through, Or
just a way for friends to say they like you 'cause you're you.
Hugs are meant for anyone for whom we really
care, From your grandma
to your neighbour, or a cuddly Teddy Bear.
A hug is an amazing thing ~ It's just the
perfect way To show the love
we're feeling but can't find the words to say.
It's funny how a little hug makes everyone
feel good. In every place
and language, it's always understood.
And hugs don't need new equipment, special
batteries or parts ~
Just open up your arms and open up your heart."

2. Destroying a letter written in anger
3. Offering the apology that saves a friendship
4. Stopping a scandal that would wreck a reputation
5. Taking time to show loved ones consideration
6. Feeling reverence for your Maker

If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.
~ Emily Dickinson
"A wise physician once said, 'I have been practicing medicine for 30 years, and I have prescribed many things. But, in the long run, I have learned that for most of what ails the human creature, the best medicine is LOVE.'
'What if it doesn't work?'
'Double the dose,' he replied."

"Every man has his secret sorrows,
which the world knows not,
and oftentimes we call a man cold when he is only sad."

Love is care in action.

The Good Samaritan
" .... And who is my neighbour?
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went
down from Jerusalem to Jericho,
and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and
wounded him,
and departed, leaving him half dead.
And by chance there came down a certain
priest that way: and when he saw him,
he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a Levite, when he was at the
place, came and looked on him,
and passed by on the other side.
But a certain Samaritan, as he jorneyed,
came where he was:
and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
And went to him, and bound up his wounds,
pouring in oil and wine,
and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took
care of him.
And on the morrow when he departed, he took
out two pence, and gave them to the host,
and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest
more,
when I come again, I will repay thee.
Which now of these three, thinkest thou,
was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him.
Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise."
~ Luke 10:29b-37
Thy Neighbor
Who is thy neighbor? He whom thou
Hast power to aid or bless,
Whose aching heart or burning brow
Thy soothing hand may press.
Thy neighbor? 'Tis the fainting poor
Whose eye with want is dim.
Oh, enter thou his humble door
With aid and peace for him.
Thy neighbor? He who drinks the cup
When sorrow drowns the brim;
With words of high sustaining hope
Go thou and comfort him.
Thy neighbor? 'Tis the weary slave,
Fettered in mind and limb;
He hath no hope this side the grave.
Go thou and ransom him.
Thy neighbor? Pass no mourner by.
Perhaps thou canst redeem
A breaking heart from misery.
Go share thy lot with him.

Prayer Of St. Francis Of Assisi
LORD,
make me an instrument of Thy peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O DIVINE MASTER,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
~ St. Francis of Assisi (1182-1226)
