Bro. and Sis. Spicer have been at the Evansville Christ Gospel Church since March of 1978. Bro. and Sis. Spicer started in the ministry in January, of 1973 in a small church in southern Indiana after the young pastor of that church and his infant daughter were killed in a tragic automobile accident on their way to church one Sunday morning. In July of 1973 Bro. and Sis. Spicer were ordained by Christ Gospel Churches Intl.,Inc. and have been full-time pastors ever since. In October of 1973 Bro. and Sis. Spicer moved to Millersville, Missouri and pastored there for almost four years. After leaving Millersville they pastored in Dayton, Virginia for a year and a half. It was then that they came to Evansville, and have been here ever since. Both, Bro. and Sis. Spicer were saved at an early age and grew up in christian homes. The Spicers are native Kentuckians, and they have three married daughters, and three grand-children. Two girls and a boy. Although Rev. Spicer has battled cancer for the last three and a half years, the church has continued on and is looking forward to God's will for it in the future. It is Brother and Sister Spicer's hearts desire to live out their lives as the pastors of Christ Gospel Church in Evansville.
