My Adopted Animals

You walk into a separate passageway. It leads into a larger cavern. In front of you lounge six different tigers, idely chatting with each other. One of them, a white tigress with a short tail looks up upon hearing your entrance. She stands to address you as each of the others fell silent, "Welcome friend. We are all adoptees of Cougar. Each of us having been in animal adoptions or egg adoptions on the Neopian boards." The tigress pauses a bit, "We decided to help her out a bit with the visitors as she can't always be here to supervise." A soft chuckle comes from an earthy colored tiger. The tigress continues, as if ignoring him, "Each of us will take you to a different land where all the adoptees call home. Just come to one of us and we'll take you there." Then one at a time, each of the tigers sit down facing you. Starting at your left, the tigers go down the line introducing themselves.

"Hello, my name is Aspen and I over see the forest."

"Greetings. I am called Icia and I take care of the Tundra." (note: this is a completed page)

The tigress who had addressed you before speaks again. A small otter hopping onto her back. She smiles slightly and just shakes her head. Then to you, "I am Juhali and I will accompany you to the grasslands."

"I am Kiara of the cliff and sky region."

"Hello. My name is Llamatigre and I will take you to the desert." (note: this is a completed page)

"Salutations traveler. I am Mage and I call the ocean my home." (note: this is a completed page)

Strata: This egg was black with silver stripes. From it came a beautiful solid black female dragon with silver wings and eyes. She has a telepathic link with me and can control dark and air magic. Her name came from the fact that she is a dark color and of air, thus I played around with the cloud term "stratus".

Tangaloor Sonder: He is a sweet little bear cub that is all black. His paws are swirled with red and orange flame-like shapes. Thus, his element is fire. He is also very shy, but tends to hang around Strata more than the others.

Kamilah: (Egyptian for perfection) Being interested in Ancient Egypt, I couldn't pass by this gold egg with an aqua green scarab on it. Her name explains it all as I discovered I was the happy owner of a golden cat with white tabby stripes. On her head sat a golden crown with a silver scarab. She can control the weather.

Star: A velvety soft light yellow fox greeted me from this Light element egg. She has starry blue eyes and a red gem in her forehead. This little fox says it as it is and is not afraid to make her needs known. A good example of this is that soon after she hatched she asked to go home and quickly fell asleep soon after.

Yahno: He is a black male pegasus with white mane and tail. I saw him standing alone and walked to him. After talking with him, I discovered that he was an older warrior. We bonded and now can't be separated. Now I have someone to share old war tales with and have a partner in battle.

Wildfire: After I met Yahno, I decided that he'd need a fellow equine for a companion amongst all us cats. I came across a friendly and talkative pegasus. He is red with flaming (color) orange wings.

Twilight: An adorable little silver cat with purple wings. The wings start out a light purple and gradually darken toward the tips. Her two yellow eyes are like the first stars in the night sky. She is very sweet, but very shy.

Charo: This is a male cheetah with an attitude. He also says exactly what's on his mind regardless of how rude it may be. The fastest way to make friends with him is to compliment him. Its also a quick way to make him a sweetheart. He is black with yellow spots and his element is earth.

T'pol: I was surprised to add this canine to the ranks. She has a fire element, and her body is mostly flames (harmless ones). When she shakes, flames (also harmless) will fly from her as if she is shedding. From her shoulders sprout two large black wings tipped with rubies. This one is the serious one of the group, thus earning her name. For those of you who don't know, T'pol is a Vulcan on Star Trek. Vulcan is close to volcano which is close to fire; another thought pattern in her naming.

Ashey: A gray/silver tabby with bright curious yellow eyes. Upon his shoulders sit a pair of beautiful wings. They start out navy blue, moving to a soft lavender and finally tipped out in dark purple. He is a very friendly cat and loves to jump up and meet you half way when you bend down to pet him.

Wildspirit: Much like Hydro, this little filly cannot speak. She is a beautiful white clydesdale filly with emerald green eyes. Her favorite thing to do is to run and feel the wind blow through her mane.

Tai: A blue dragon that I found while on an island. We were turned loose to roam about the island and gradually, each of us were greeted by a dragon. Tai greeted me by splashing me with a wingfull of pool water.

Saul: I was quite surprised and very honored to be chosen by this handsome animal. He is a male fox-like creature. His body is covered in ice-blue scales with patches of fur. His thick tail is covered in white feathers and he has pale silver eyes. His fangs are like new fallen snow. Of course, his elements are Cold and Ice. While talking with him, I discovered that he is fascinated with potions. So I let him have free reign in my library in the shed; a place where he spends a lot of time reading.

Kepfur: I couldn't pass by this adoption when I discovered that there were panthers (cougars). Once I entered, I found a male orange panther sitting a little apart from the others. The tips of his ears, muzzle, feet and tail were a darker orange while the rest resembled the color of copper. He was very shy and had a low self-esteem being the youngest of the group of panthers. But as we all know, looks can be deceiving. Kepfur (German for copper), turned out to be the strongest of all the panthers. He is a rare berserker, turning black with red eyes. With his raw power he can do damage to just about anything, but cannot hurt the ones he loves. "Energie hetzen durch mein blut" (Power running through my blood).

Jahreszeit: Salia's first companion. I've roleplayed Lahrea for all the other adoptions, and decided to let Salia get a chance. The moderator of the previous adoption had panthers left, so I tried to bond with another one. This time I came across a green panther, her tips being a darker green. Her name is German for Seasons, which one of her brothers prefers to call her (since he cannot pronounce her name). She was very kind and gentle with Salia. Her element was Nature, and she can control the weather. She is the one who makes sure that Nature is in balance. A job similar to one that Salia may find herself in.

Hoku: My first avian! Hoku is a very nice and proper eagle. He is brown with white wing tips. Generally he stays away from the others, but on occasion he chats with the pegasus.

Aqua: A set of firsts! This lovely creature is a light blue wolf with ice blue eyes. She controls a water element and can dissapear in water, purify it and shoot it out of her mouth at 50 gal/sec. She is very loyal, but is shy to the other critters. However, she's starting to make friends with Hydro and T'pol.

Isrihl: I couldn't pass up this little girl once I discovered her specialties. She is of Fire and Pride. She's a young filly with a rich golden coat and a cream colored main and tail. Her eyes are redish-gold and she has a cream-yellow sun on her forehead and a silver flame on her thigh. Very energetic, she gets along well with Wildspirit.

Neracahn: He is a dark metallic blue-black dragon. His intellegent eyes are like glassy blue-black orbs and you can never tell where he is looking. Being a flier, he is thin and small. At hatching, his wings were 6 feet long each but will grow to be 30 feet long. He is always on the alert, but not always interested in what is going on. Like many dragons, he breaths fire and his ability is persuasion.

Shadon: Another first of his kind in my menagerie, a large black T-Rex with silver etchings on his hide. Even though he appears fierce, he really is a sweet heart and gets along with all my critters. However, if you even think about harming anyone, you'll have to go through Shadon first.

Verde Crista: I got this little fairy from a very unique role play. The keeper was an old man who gave each of us riddles to solve. What color are the bricks of a green house if the bricks of a red house are red, a yellow house are yellow and a blue house are blue. It took a little bit to register, but I was able to spit out the answer before anyone else. This little fairy is of the earth element and she is very intelligent. Her name is green glass in Spanish.

Scorch: A friend for T'pol! This little fire puppy was the shyest of the batch. However, once he gets over his shyness, he is very playful. He has all black fur with flaming paws (literally). Eyes are black with yellow pupils and his small wings are black.

Toby: A female golden hawk. She's a bit of a loner, and tends to keep away from the more playful critters. However she does like to fly around with Hoku, and will spend time chatting with him.

Tundra: Another unique role play, this one we entered and stated our answers to a few questions and gained the animal afterward. My responses were: Favorite color of those listed- yellow, Favorite place- forest, Favorite season- winter, Good quality- friendly, and Bad quality- harsh. From this I earned a white wolf with yellow eyes. She has both qualities depending on her mood.

Virgil: A quick role play, I was graced by the presence of a handsome white kitten with silver wings. The name comes from Dante's Divine Comedy, a trilogy I've been reading. Virgil is a real life poet and someone Dante looks up to. In the book, Virgil serves as Dante's guide through Inferno and into Purgatory.

Odin: A young male sprite, Odin has gray eyes that are nearly white and he wears all white clothing. His wings are an unpatterned opaque white color. As for his element, he doesn't have a specific one. Currently he knows very little about his powers, but eventually he will be able to work a little of everything. He certainly has plenty of creatures to help him in his training.

Shaddoc: According to the keeper she is the Draconi of Shadow. A black dragon with white eyes and sapphire claws, tail tip and back ridge. She tends to move about at night, but if she needs to move in the day, she sticks to the shadows. Being of shadows does not make her evil, she is a very pleasant dragon to be around.

Sanke: She is a large green snake with yellow eyes. A very friendly snake, but does like to tease others. Her main target is Hydro, but its all in fun. Her element is earth.

Adrik: My first evil egg adoption, I role played a new character of mine, Chehali. The eggs tested each of the candidates by playing with fear. At the end, Chehali had gained Adrik's acceptance. He is a large crow, about three times the normal size. His plumage is coal black, and his talons are the cold steel of the Reaper's sickle. He delves in Corruption and all that he touches with his talons will die. Generally a loner himself, he sticks close to Chehali who is immune to his touch.

Talla: My adorable new chocolate point siamese kitten. Her bright blue eyes flash with energy as her chocolate colored rope of a tail swishes to and fro. Her element is earth.
