This is a story of how I found my brother Buddy(Lester)after 28 years. My parents got a divorce when I was about 9 and he was 10, my younger brothers and sisters went with my mom and step-father and I stayed with my brother and father because I didnt want to be apart from my brother but eventually I went to my mom and after that I never saw or heard from him. Thru the years I wondered what he looked like and where he was.
Then a few years ago I learned how to make Web Pages and did one "Looking for my Brother". I was still learning how to use my computer and found out about "White Pages" around this time I asked a friend to help me find him too. I knew when he was born and where. while my friend was looking around I went to the "White Pages" and Typed "Lester Canady" and for some unknown reason I looked up the first one to see if it had an e-mail address and it did, I wrote a little note asking if they could go to the Web Page and see it for me and about an hour later I got the MOST wonderful e-mail back!!! It was my brother!!! He wrote he had been trying to find my younger brother, but he didnt know we had changed our last name.
That night around 12 midnight I finally got thru to him(his computer crashed lol. I told him hold on a sec and called my sister(Laura) and we had a 3 way talk going and he sounded just like my younger brother(Roy).I had called my mother earlier and told her I found him, but she couldn't talk to him till after me...lol(wanted her to get all her crying out before she talked to him). We talked an hour and then told him Mom was going to call him...lol stay off his computer. We exchanged ICQ#'s and started chatting thru there. Can you believe this he only lives about 6 hours away from me!!!! We made plans to meet him in Va. where he lives,and the weekend after the 4th of July weekend me and my sister and mom went up there to see him. We got there around 1 in the morning and called him and told him which hotel we were in. While me and my sister was down stairs unloading the car and mom was watching us he had come up the stairs where we didnt see him and came up to mom first and gave her a Big Hug!!! I am glad she got to see him first. Then me and my sister went upstairs and there were Hugs all around!!! We stayed up till 6 in the morning talking. Every since then we have talked almost every night on ICQ and he has come down here to N.C. I am so very glad we have found each other and I have an older brother again.
You should never give up looking for someone you love it took me 28 years but we have found each other and we are never going to be apart for that long ever again!!!
