How to to use the skins
After downloading the Winamp skin zip file, you'll need to locate your Skins directory folder. If you're new at this (which is why you're reading this), it's most likely in it's default location which is within the Winamp directory where the Winamp program itself is located.
-
To access this you can do it the long way by clicking on your "My Computer" icon, then on the "C: Drive" icon, then the "Program Files" folder, and finally the "Winamp" folder, which is where you should see the "Skins" folder. You can use the Windows Explorer if you're familiar with it to get into the Winamp folder as well. (C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins)
-
A faster way to do this is to use the file/folder finder. To do this, go to the Start button at the bottom left corner of windows, click on "Find" and then on "Files and Folders" which will pop up a search window. Type in Skins and it should appear for you.
All you need to do now is drag the zip file you downloaded and drop it into the folder. Now you're ready to change the appearance of your Winamp!
If you're Winamp isn't running, start it. Then either type Alt-S to bring up the Skin browser or right click on Winamp, select Options on the pop-up window and then select Skin browser. Choose the skin that you want and voila! Your Winamp has a whole new look! Enjoy!
