| Builder Only the structural works of the main house was constructed by Henley Properties. We made quite a number variations to the building contract like creating extra room, deleting the power room, major changes to the ensuite and WIR, changes to entrance area, adding three extra sliding doors, etc. It took the builder approximately five months to complete the basic structure of the house. When it was under construction, we checked the house everyday. The house was handled over to us very bare without any flooring finishes, tiling, driveway, paving or landscaping. It had undergone a drastic change. We did most of the changes. We probably save thousands of dollars doing most of the finishes ourselves. It took over a month to complete most of the big projects like driveway, timber flooring, tiling, etc. The best feeling was that we were extremely happy that we had done it ourselves. |
