Paving Construction

Everybody help in the paving project.  A plan were drawn before the pavers were purchased.  The pavers came from the paving shop at Old Geelong Road, Hoppers Crossing.  The area was levelled first with a layer of crush rocks.  It was then compacted.

Two pieces of timbers were first placed at a distance.  The sand was then shoved in from the wheel barrow.  A piece of timber was used to the sandy area.  The pavers were then laid with the help of a mallet.  At the edges, timber were used to temporary hold the pavers in placed.  Later, mortar were used to hold the pavers at the edges.

Some of the pavers were cut with a diamond blade angle grinder.

There were yellow pavers laid around the water fountain.   The pavers in the Japanese garden were laid in such a way that one could walk through and around the Japanese.

Pavers were also laid at steps to the rear part of the house at well. Pavers were laid as stepping tortoise steps along the western boundary of the house.
