These little kitties need names...

UPDATE 6/19/2001

It is with heavy heart that I must say that all of the orange tabby darlings suscumbed to 'fading kitten syndrome'. Within two weeks of each other they were gone. The last little guy, Weebles, waited until his buddy Skip got home and crossed the bridge while Skip was holding him.

There is not much known about fading kitten syndrome, it comes on suddenly and there is nothing you can do. Apparently their mother was very ill while carrying them and they did not have the normal immune system they needed to survive.

All the kittens were loved and cherished for the short time they were with us and will live in our hearts for always.

The torties, however, are doing just fine! LOL Tearing up my house and Skip has nicknamed them the demon seeds. LOL They are ready for adoption so send me an email or fill out my application if you'd like to share your life with one of these beauties. :)

I'd like to thank everyone who submitted names for our contest. In the midst of the tragedy it was just too hard to deal with. I was afraid to name them because I was losing them so fast. :( My daycare kids did look at all of your entries and they chose the names Parvoti and Maggie for the Torties. :)

These sweet little darlings arrived at Dolores' house on April 1, 2001. The tabby's mother died while trying to birth a seventh sibling. The tortie's mother also died after giving birth. Two little tykes didn't make it but the rest are all doing wonderfully well and need names. We're at a loss so we've turned to you for help. Send us an email with your name, email address, town and state (just so we can identify you) with the names you've chosen for all four kittens. The 5 most popular names for each kitten will be displayed on May 1st and YOU get to vote on them. We will be posting pics each week so you can follow their progress. They are up for adoption too. If you would like to provide a loving home for one or more of these little darlings you can fill out my adoption application or send me an email here.
