Tabby Cats!
Absorb was living in a garage when he was 8 weeks old trying to survive on table scraps. Skip found him. He was so dehydrated and vitamin deficient he couldn't stand. There was no calicum in his body so his back legs would not work properly. With good nutrition he perked right up. As a young cat he also developed Robin ulcers in his mouth and we battled that for a bit with cortizone treatments. It soon cleared up too. You can't see it very well in these pictures, but Absorb's facial structure is very like that of a lion. When he looks at you full face it's as if you are looking at a small lion. Absorb has been with us for 6 years now.
Absorb recently crossed the Bridge. Please visit his memorial page.
Annie and Genesis were members of a feral colony. They had been rescued as kittens and place together in a room. When their rescuer could no longer take care of them she asked me to foster. Annie warmed up right away, but still preferred to be an outside cat. Genesis was a holy terror! He was completely feral. It took over a year before any of us could even touch him. He is now the biggest cuddlebug you have ever seen! Annie has gone to live with the Hoyle's at Mini-Pigs, Inc. She loves it there! Genesis is still awaiting that perfect home. Please e-mail me or fill out my adoption application if you would like to make Gen a part of your family.

Here's Jewel! She's the awesome mommy cat that took Opal in as a member of her litter. Mommy cats usually break my heart. All those kittens to find homes for, but Jewel was a gem! hehehe She was rescued from a shelter in Virginia Beach just 6 hours before being euthanized. Jewel was adopted by one of my daycare families and is now a very happy and very fat cat. :0)
