The Razor’s Edge

Blood runs free across my thigh
Sweet relief flashes in my eyes.
Dripping blood puddles on the floor
Wanting the peace, nothing more.
The razor’s edge smooth and sharp
Puts only smiles around my heart.
Straight red lines left to right
Life will go on another night.
Twisted beauty on the scars of my soul
Another cut and pain no more.
Blind to the chaos; numb to the pain
The dripping blood falls like rain.
Washing away the hurt inside
The only way to walk through life.
Why do they tell me my ways are wrong

Why do they say they know I can be strong?
They don’t understand the feelings inside
The feeling of NOTHING that it provides.
Why do they insist I feel the pain
If given a choice I’d choose my rain.
