The Crew of the Andromeda

Dylan Hunt

"Oh, anyone who touches my basketball hoop answers to me personally."

Captain of the starship Andromeda and all around good-guy, this demi-God of a man has made bringing peace to the universe his own personal mission. Played by the charismatic Kevin Sorbo, and portrayed as the obvious hero of this little saga, he's noble and well-suited for the leadership position that he's been given.

Beka Valentine

"Do I strike you as some sort of starry-eyed dreamer?"

Captain of the Eureka Maru (a bucket of bolts that's gotten the crew out of more than one scrape) and newly appointed first officer on the Andromeda. She hits hard and doesn't hold anything back. The best pilot around, she's not one for subtlety, especially when it comes to her opinion. She's got a wicked wit, and knows what's what.

Tyr Anasazi

"Now can we blow them up?"

This Nietzchean knows what he's doing. He likes survival, guns, and women. In that order. He's totally into self-preservation (aren't all Nietzcheans?) and a member of the Kodiak pride. He's got a very dry (and pretty morbid) sense of humor. If Tyr's laughing, you know something is wrong.

Andromeda Ascendent ("Rommie")

"You're making seductive overtures to me in a dead language?"

The heart and soul of the Andromeda. Actually, she is the Andromeda. Harper made this A.I. early on so that she could experience a full range of senses and become more of a member of the crew (that's what he claims, anyway). It worked, and- all though she's still very much the warship- she's also as unique and emotional as any of the people aboard her.

Rev Bem

"Now if we're through, I'd like to get back to my troubled mind."

Spirituality is this guy's middle name. He's a Wayist who believes in the Divine and prays regularly. But he's also a Magog- viscious creatures known to devour other species without hesitation or lay eggs inside of them which will eventually hatch and eat the person from the inside out. Pleasant, huh? Rev doesn't partake in those sort of . . . dining excersises. The Way has shown him a better . . . er . . . way of doing things.

Trance Gemini

"I'm still trying to figure out this whole poisoning yourself for fun thing. I think I like it."

Harper once called her an enigma, wrapped in a riddle with a tail in the middle. And that's exactly what Trance is. No one knows where she comes from or what, exactly, her species is, but she fits in nicely with the crew. She's sweet and compassionate, but knows how to kick butt when necesary. She loves plants, and they love her, and she's been known to be a little too good at "guessing".

Seamus Harper

"Oh good. Insanity I can deal with. Maybe I'll go to hydroponics afterwards and run through the sprinklers."

Engineer extraordinare, this guy is earth-born, and probably not too happy about it (I hear the planet's not too much fun at this point). He's the Andromeda's Mr. Fix-it, he's good at it and he knows it. Egotistical, witty, sarcastic, and always on the look out for a good time or an easy buck.
