The Site

Idea no. 8, founded on July 1, 2001, came into being as the product of too much caffiene and not enough forethought. It was late. I was bored. A website was born. Little did I realize at the time that I’d spend, over the next couple months, far more hours than I’d ever dreamed trying to create something presentable and aesthetically pleasing.

Considering the fact that I have absolutely no experience with web page design whatsoever, I’m fairly pleased with how this has turned out. Maybe, one day, it will be that collosal thing that I often see in my head on my more optimistic days, but, until then, I’m just happy I haven’t blown anything up.

If you’re at all curious, the name, Idea no. 8, is taken directly from the title of the first professional art exhibition that I participated in. And the quote on the main page was taken from a review that Zadie Smith wrote of her own book.

If you have any questions, comments, etc. please contact me. If you’re looking for a link to a story that I’ve quoted, or information about anything presented on these pages, I would be happy to help.
