1. Matthew W. Clark

Mathew Clark of Hovingham and Stonegrave, Yorkshire, England, was an early settler in Roxham, arriving around 1825 and eventually farming several lots on the 7th and 8th concessions south of domain. His wife, Phillipa Burbury, was the
daughter of William Burbury and Catherine Rybus of Stonegrave, Yorkshire. A family enterprise, the Roxham general store of Miller and Clark, was ravaged by fire in 1900. This Clark family was allied with the Wilson and Straker families of
Roxham.


6. George Thomas Clark

A George Ryon Clark born in 1830 is burried along with his wife and several children in the Glenwood Cemetery in Champlain, N.Y..
