Matthew Cordukes and Ann Priestman were married in 1820 at Hutton Bushel, Yorkshire, England. They emigrated to Quebec after 1823 with at least two young children. The family soon settled in Lacolle on the 2nd concession south of domain.
Although Matthew's religion is listed as Episcopal on the 1851 census, at least two children were married and listed in Odelltown Methodist Church registers.
