Thomas Durham an Elizabeth Benson were married in 1810 at Sculcoates Parish, Hull ,Yorkshire, England. They immigrated to Canada and soon settled in the seigniory of Lacolle. Thomas was fatally wounded in the 1838 Papineau Rebellion battle
staged at the Odelltown Church.
