Thomas Fewster and his wife Elizabeth Crooks were married in the parish of Sculcoates, Hull, Yorkshire, England in 1791. Thomas has the distinction of being the oldest man burried in the Roxham Cemetery. Three generations of Fewsters
emigrated from England and settled in Roxham sometime prior to 1832. By 1860, Thomas' grandson William and Thomas' son George Fewster were both listed as property owners on Roxham's 8th and 9th concessions south of domain.
