Descendants of John Moore

Notes

2. Ralph Moore

Ralph Moore aquired 200 acres in LaColle on the third concession north of domain in 1828. He built a 1 1/2 story house of stone with a barn, stable and forge.

On the first of February 1858 Ralph began a term as the mayor of LaColle.

Around 1900 the heirs of Ralph Moore finally sold the original farm for $10,000 and invested the money with the son of an old neighbor, a speculator named J. C. Hodgson. The investment grew to a fortune of over a million dollars. Burried
in Ralph's Family plot in LaColle are his aunt and uncle; Elizabeth (1775-1846) and George (1781-1852) Waudby.

Jane Cooper

Jane Cooper lived in Noyan before she married Ralph Moore.
