There is some question as to the birth date of Robert. The 1851 census lists his birth around 1791. The 1861 census lists Robert as being even older, bn ca 1783. A Robert on a tombstone in Roxham lists his birth as 1810. According to
Sellar's History, a Capt. Straker sold property to a settler named Keddy in 1824. This leads the researcher to belive the cemetery stone dated 1810 can not be for the same Capt Straker who sold property in 1822 .
