Sue Thomas F.B.Eye
Sue Thomas F.B.Eye airs on the PAX television network Sundays at 9 pm. The show is based on the real-life story of Sue Thomas, a woman deaf since she was a toddler, who works her way up through the ranks of the FBI. Sue started as a fingerprint analyst and later became an asset to the FBI for her ability to read lips. Sue is a member of the Deaf community, which means that she signs, speaks, and reads lips. Over the past two seasons of the show, we've seen the character of Sue sing, play the piano, and through her work with the FBI prove that she is one of the most remarkable women today.
Deanne Bray, also deaf since she was a toddler, plays Sue Thomas. Deanne's portrayal of Sue has opened up the world of the Deaf and hard of hearing to the rest of the world, enabling hearing persons to get an inside view of what it's like to be deaf. In the same regard, the show provides an outlet for those who have hearing problems and who are not generally represented on television.
The cast (from left to right): Tara Williams (Tara Samuel), Jack Hudson (Yannick Bisson), Bobby Manning (Rick Peters), hearing dog Levi (Jesse), Sue Thomas (Deanne Bray), Lucy Dotson (Enuka Okuma), Dimitrius Gans (Marc Gomes), and Myles Leland III (Ted Atherton).
The real Sue Thomas, her hearing dog Amazing Grace, Deanne Bray, and acting dog Jesse.
Deanne Bray. Deanne's husband, Troy Kotsur, is also deaf but he communicates solely through sign language. Troy has appeared on the show on several occasions.
Jack and Sue worked undercover as a married couple for the episodes "The Newlywed Game" and "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do." Fans are anxiously waiting to see if our favorite agents will end up together.
