What is a Web Browser - Lesson 3


 

Hey they look the same, but different words to explain the same processes - that is correct very similar in look and feel.


 

Areas to recognize with the browser

  1. Web Page Title – Top left, displays the title of the web page to the visitor through the web browser.
  1. Menu dropdown selections,  menu choice for (NS) - IE 
  1. Toolbar buttons selections, allows you to select a button icon related to certain functions you want performed.
  1. Address field – Web Address, allows you to type in a Web Address (URL) example: http://www.yahoo.com then tap enter key.
  1. Viewing area, this area is where the web page document will be placed for your viewing pleasure.
  1. Scroll bar, allows us to scroll between multiple web page documents. Remember the smaller this is the more pages will be printed.
  1. Status bar, shows us the status of web pages being loaded by the browser.

    8. Communication Icons (NS only) These small icons show the communication features of Netscape Navigator/Communicator.
