Happy Holidays from
the Kenamond Clan This year I thought I would try
something new and send out a “web” holiday letter…more pictures, less postage and
fewer color cartridges! Lydia is now
6 years old and in the 1st grade. She
is a social butterfly and gets in trouble for talking and bossing (don't know
where she gets that??). But other than
that she is an excellent student and kid. This year she was thrilled to be a
"mouse" in the local production of the Nutcracker. Kyle is a
typical 4 year old. We may find him
stuffing his mouth with candy or disappearing outside without even
asking...but he too is a gifted pre-schooler and looking forward to
Kindergarten next fall. Mack and I are doing well. Mack still loves his work and the troubles
at the Lab seem to be settling down. Vicky
started a new job at a local bank and is enjoying it and the people. We traveled to the beaches of
Mexico this summer for a family jaunt.
Both kids spent the entire
week in the water! |

We
found that the fasted way to gain confidence on a bike (w/o training wheels)
is to go to a big, empty parking lot and PRACTICE!! |

We
were lucky enough to spend a week in Puerto Penasco (west coast of Mexico)
this August. The kids loved the water,
exploring the beach with Daddy, sun, souvenirs, food and especially the sunset
cruise on a REAL Pirate ship, Arrrrggghhh. |

Saying
good-bye to friends was hard this year.
Our good friends, the Daidy’s, Burke, Sara, Fiona & Claire moved
away and at 12 ½
years Cocoa Bean went to the big dog house in the sky…. |
|
Lydia
and Vicky flew to Missouri to help celebrate Great-grandma’s 90th
birthday |
|
Vicky rounded up girl-friends to go
to a JOURNEY concert. It was cold and
rainy but a girls’ get-away is always FUN!! |
Grandma
Norma visited to help with the kids while Mack was on travel. She and Lydia did a little early xmas
shopping and Lydie wore it ALL for this photo!! |
In
early October Mack’s folks stopped in while on a road trip around the
states. Activities included outside
play, Tweeny ball practice, bowling and a stop at Dairy Queen. |

As
usual Halloween was a big deal in our house this year. We did the annual pumpkin gutting and Lydia
proudly carved her first jack
o’lantern all by herself |
|
This
year for Halloween Lydia was a
“sophisticated witch” and Kyle was a goofy skeleton |
|
Lydia
was in her first performance of the Nutcracker this year as a mouse. Each night she was transformed from our
cute dancer into an evil rodent! |
|
Mack
and Vicky had a lovely night out at the Winter Ball hosted by Los Alamos
National Bank (where Vicky began working in October) |
|
Lydia
felt the need to create this Santa Clause ensemble and pulled it off quite
nicely…fooled Kyle apparently as he sat on her lap! |
|
As
I finalize this Web-letter we are getting hit by the largest snow storm to
hit us in years ….We
are all LOVING it and plan to go skiing this weekend! |
