Returning to Heaven>
Sweet little girl in a ruffled pink dress,
Flowers in her hair and smiling her best,
Skipping in black patent Mary Jane shoes,
Two pony tails curling soft and loose.
A basket of memories she holds at her side
With all of the love she was never denied,
Trinkets of well wishes and treasures of joy,
She brought them all with her, things death can’t destroy.
Rosy pink cheeks and dancing bright eyes,
All of her suffering and pain now belies.
There’s not a hint of what went on before
This precious young darling went through Heaven’s door.
The blue sky is perfect with fluffy white clouds
And angels are gathered to greet her in crowds.
They take her to Father and there at His throne
They worship and praise as He welcomes His own.
“I’m Home Holy Father,” she said with a grin.
“I can’t wait to tell you of where I have been,
Of Mommy and Daddy and how they loved me,
They cried when I left though they set me free.
I brought all these memories and treasures to share.
Oh, Holy Father, I loved it down there.
I did all the things that You sent me to do,
Completed my mission and came back to You.
Now Mommy and Daddy have visions too!
Their prayers are much richer and yearnings are true.
They turned their hearts over and search now to see
How they can come some day to Heaven with Me.”
