make beautiful music together! |
Our dad and brothers sure did wear a lot of white shirts to starch and iron!

We miss Dad so very much since he went to be with the Lord in '96.
While our family was together to bid him goodby "till we meet again,"
we had a photograph of Mother with all of us. It was the first time in
many years that all our siblings were together at the same time since
we live so far away from each other. I'm so thankful for this photo.
Sister, it seems like the Lord gave each of us a "poet's heart" because for so long we have enjoyed writing poems.....to each other, about each other, about the things deep in our hearts, and about the memories we share. I think it would be nice, and maybe a little interesting, if I put just a sample of our poetry on this page for the world to see, to laugh at, to enjoy, or to wonder "why on earth did they do that!" Sooooo......here goes!
to Jo S. McCracken, my Sis
Oh, Jo, my sister, so fine, you're so fine. I'm thinkin' about you, I'm thinkin' so hard. Get out of your chair and think, really think. If I could just get you to come, oh please come Giggle and laugh, never stop, we won't stop; Roll in the grass, on our heads we would stand, Dig for sea shells in the sand, the hot sand. Set up a table for tea, for sweet tea, I don't see why we can't go, up and just go, It's not realistic, I guess, no not now. I know it's still in me, I just have to start, Go with the feeling, my heartbells ringing, My senses tingling, my two lips singing. With Jesus my Savior, my Savior is He, Let's dance with Jesus, with Jesus we'll dance. We'll give Him our babies, our babies we'll give. Into His arms niece and nephew we'll shoo. We'll give Him our house, our truck, our car, Our boat, our cat, our dog. Near and far, Our sisters by marriage, our friends we will carry, I only know Jesus is just the right answer, Then we'll have no reason to run far away.

THREE CHEERS FOR SISTERS !!! to Doris S. Jamison, my Sis
Oh my dear sister, you're cute, yes you're cute. I'm sending you pics of my grands, yes the grands. We love them in sickness, in health, oh in health. Lord bless our children, our grandchildren too.

Through The Years You've been such a wonderful friend, We raised our kids as best we could.. We had our laughs, we had our cries, You're more than a sister, more than a friend, The truth of a friendship tried and true, Whether it be trouble, or heartache or pain,
