We wade through troubles in life, and we tire.
We’re put through tests in this world, and the fire.
We grumble and moan, we express so much ire,
It’s a sad song.
We work for our living, we labor in pain.
Try as we might, we find little gain.
We then get discouraged and start to complain.
It’s a sad song.
We feel self-pity, we sit and get blue.
We should change our ways and attitudes, too.
We could think on higher things, this is true.
It’s a sad song.
We need to remember the things in God’s Word.
He’s promised us much, all this we have heard.
He cares for the flower, the tree and the bird.
It’s a glad song.
In health, in sickness, in trouble, in woe,
He’s always with us, we truly can know.
If we look in the Bible, it will tell us so.
It’s a glad song.
Let’s lean on Jesus, our eternal friend.
We’ll get through life better, from now till the end.
Need guidance and comfort? All this He will send.
It’s a glad song.
And when life’s over, we’ll stay here no more.
He’ll be there to meet us on bright golden shore.
We’ll ever sing praises to our Savior for....
It’s a glad song !!
