Lord, look down upon us and see our condition. We are like sponges, with cracks and crevices and holes that are empty or are being filled up with dust, grit, or worse. Lord, please, this hour go to my loved ones, examine them and see where there are vacancies in their lives. Is it in their souls, or spirits, or relationships? Is there illness, hurt, anger or distress? Whatever is missing in their lives, please fill their needs according to the abundance of your blessings, mercy and love from your great storehouse. Fill the sponges which are their lives and make them smooth from the inside out. Polish the surfaces with your love until they shine and sparkle, until they become as lovely as the perfect "pearl of great price."
