Thomas J. Irons and Mary C. McAninch
Thomas J. Irons was born 18 Apr 1833 in Indiana and died 6 Jul 1906. I believe that, by a first wife, his first daughter, Cora Irons was born about 1861 in Missouri. Thomas also married Mary C. McAninch, daughter of Joseph McAninch and Elizabeth J., on 3 Jul 1864 in Hendricks County, Indiana. Mary was born 15 Apr 1846 in Indiana and died 27 Feb 1924. Thomas and Mary had the following children:
- Minerva E. Irons, born 27 Nov 1864 in Missouri;
- Nancy Jane Irons, born 1 Oct 1866 in Missouri;
- Susan Margaret Irons, born 15 Dec 1867 in Missouri;
- Mary M. ("Mollie") Irons, born 8 Mar 1869 in Missouri;
- Charles Burgess ("Charlie") Irons, born 16 Apr 1871 in Missouri;
- Joseph E. Irons, born 17 Dec 1873, died 9 Oct 1874;
- Katie Elizabeth Irons, born 10 Jun 1875, died 10 Oct 1875;
- Oliver Franklin Irons, born 9 Sep 1876 in Kansas;
- John Sherman Irons, born 29 Jun 1879 in Kansas;
- James G. Irons, born on 11 Jul 1881;
- Thomas B. Irons, born on 12 May 1885; and,
- Harry Irons was born on 26 Mar 1887.
The 1880 Census indicates that they were living in Clarence (Township?), Barton County, Kansas during 1880. Does anyone know to whom Thomas was first married (i.e., who was Cora's mother) and whence Thomas and Mary went after 1880.

Minerva E. Irons (Thomas J.) married W. E. Curtis on 6 Sep 1893. They adopted Esther Curtis, born 13 Aug 1899, who married Clayborne D. O'Dell on 1 Jun 1921.
Nancy Jane Irons (Thomas J.) married Arda Alvin Polson on 1 Mar 1893. Nancy and Arda had the following children:
- Anna E. Polson, born on 19 Jan 1894, married Fred W. Weideman on 3 Jun 1913;
- Harold Charles Polson, born on 26 Nov 1897;
- Helen M. Polson, born on 2 Sep 1901, married Charles W. Ridgeway on 2 Sep 1919; and,
- Dorothy C. Polson, born on 22 Apr 1904, married Rev. Karl C. Schuster on 6 Oct 1927.
Susan Margaret Irons (Thomas J.) married Charles O. Snyder on 13 Oct 1896. They had Iden Romig Snyder (born in Sep 1897) and Alta Renolds Snyder (born 31 Jan 1905). As of 18 Jun 1927, Susan and Charles lived in St. John, Kansas.
Mary M. Irons married Park Keffer on 14 Aug 1886. Park was born on 31 Aug 1863. As of 18 Jun 1927, Mary and Park lived in McPherson, Kansas. Park and Mollie had the following children:
- Jesse Louis Keffer, born 15 Mar 1887, married Sadie E. Mitchell on 8 Jun 1908;
- Seth Thomas Keffer, born 10 Feb 1889, married Nora Enterline on 31 May 1908;
- Mable Mary Keffer, born 17 Dec 1890, married James Mitchell on 8 Jun 1908;
- Sylvia Ethel Keffer, born 9 Feb 1895, married Roy Jeffries on 16 Dec 1914, & died 9 Feb 1920; and,

Charles Burgess Irons married Grace Ring on 18 Jan 1896. They had the following children:
- Gladys M. Irons;
- Doris G. Irons, born 3 May 1898;
- Ada C. Irons, born 4 Jul 1900; and
- W. R. and O. M., who may be living.
John Sherman Irons married Myrtle Curtis on 11 Jun 1899. John and Myrtle had the following children:
- Hazel Irons, born 7 Dec 1899;
- Ethel Irons was born on 8 Jun 1901; and,
- R. who may be living.
James G. Irons (Thomas J.) married May Byram on 20 Oct 1903. They had A., E., O., and G. who may be living.
Thomas B. Irons (Thomas J.) married Nettie Arlena Starbuck on 19 Aug 1908. Nettie was born on 29 Jan 1889. They had I. I., M. E., O. T., C. E., C. M., D. L., I. B., S. A., and R. I., all of whom may be living.
Harry Irons married Marie Hudson on 1 Nov 1926. They had E. M. who may be living.
