September 29, 2002 Hal Sparks guest stars on an upcoming episode of Frasier titled "Door Jam," as the receptionist at an upscale spa in which Niles and Frasier Crane are trying to obtain "Gold Level" membership status. The episode also stars Sarah Shahi as Leila, Ana Gasteyer as a quirky physical therapist, and Mark Reisman as Senator Ogden. You may recall that this is the episode which was filmed on September 10, in which David Hyde Pierce fell off a gurney and hit his head on the stage floor while rehearsing a scene. According to Hal Sparks, Pierce actually collapsed in his arms. The actor was taken to the hospital and released shortly thereafter. Luckily, he avoided any major injuries. The air date of this episode was rumored to be October 8 but according to the official NBC site is still unknown. I will post the date here once it has been announced. |

There is a happy ending, however; co-star Peri Gilpen (Roz) reported to the media that Pierce is doing great, and that [friends and family have] been by his bedside. "The doctor had to throw us out," she said. Frasier airs Tuesdays at 9:00pm... stay tuned for more information on when Hal's episode will air.
