Our rating system is based on a five-star system. Our review of movies will result in a rating for each movie in which they can attain up to five stars, five being the highest and none being the lowest. A five star rating can only be achieved by movies that are the best in all catagories including sound, video, story, and extras.

What a good movie! Cast Away is a drama about a man who is stranded on an island for 4 years, and shows all the aspects of that tramautizing ordeal.
Rob says:
Yes, this is one of those few movies that have had the honour of bringing tears to this hardened man we all love and call Rob. In my younger years, another movie that brought a tear to my young but hardened eyes was Homeward Bound, that animal epic we all came to love and treasure.
Berlinda says:
Ok, stick to Cast Away...this is a movie that both sexes can truly enjoy....it has action amd survival for the men, romance for the ladies (and I hear guys enjoy the romance too).
Rob says:
Oh man, don't even get me started, this is truly a man's romance, and solidifies the reasons why men should never trust women!
Berlinda says:
Ladies, maybe you don't want to watch this movie with your significant other, because the inevitable "Would you do that to me?" argument will take place afterwards....but anyway, this movie is for everybody, very very good.
Rob says:
Very, very true, one for the ages. Tom Hanks proves once again, why he is the man, and I was so amazed by his transformation into the Tom Hanks we all knew and loved from "Big". If I didnt know better, I would think that the director hopped into a time machine, and got the old Hanks for the second half of the movie, truly amazing what he did with himself.
Berlinda says:
Yes it was...the picture quality was good, the sound was awesome, and that beach! Wow, I wouldn't mind being stranded there for a week or so.
Rob says:
The video was superb! It was gorgeous to see all of those blues, from the water at day, to the deeper blues of the moonlit night, A-MAZING!
Berlinda says:
And the special features, wow, I loved the featurette on Wilson! This two-disc set is jam-packed with extra stuff, you'll need a whole day just to look through it!
Rob says:
Really fun stuff about how they did some of the special effects shots, a story-board to movie comparison, commentary, featuettes, its all great. The only thing that I have to disagree with was in the advertizing campaign, they said it would change dvd, well, its a really good set, but its really not revolutionary at all so there I said it. Boy, I feel better now.
Berlinda says:
I'm shocked! Anyway, if you are going to watch this movie alone I suggest getting a teddy bear to hold on to, and hold on tight because this is one hell of an emotional ride. (Keep the tissues nearby...that includes you tough guys out there).
Rob says:
The sound was real good, I wasn't blown away, but it was good. The movie's score is excellent as well. And the surround sound(what there is of it) is done well also.
Berlinda says:
Yup, not too much fancy sound but it was still nice...

So, in closing, I give this bad boy, 4 and a half for the movie, 3 for the sound, 4 and a half for the video quality and a f4.25 for the special features. So, this means a 4 out of 5 star rating overall! Not too shabby.

Not too shabby at all...except I give 4.5 stars for the extras...but I still give it a 4 overall...excellent movie! Go rent it tonight!! Right now!! Are you still reading this?!?! GO!
