Our rating system is based on a five-star system. Our review of movies will result in a rating for each movie in which they can attain up to five stars, five being the highest and none being the lowest. A five star rating can only be achieved by movies that are the best in all catagories including sound, video, story, and extras.
If you are not sure what movie falls under what category, go to the Index to find the movie there.

Berlinda says:
Hello.
Rob says:
Hello.

Berlinda says:
We are here to review "Dr.Dolittle 2", one of my favorite movies.
Rob says:
Yes, an enchanting romp through the Comedy Woods with a twist of talking animals to spice things up.

Berlinda says:
Eddie Murphy plays Dr.Dolittle, a man who can talk to animals. I wish I had that power. Anyway, the same people play his family, including Raven-Symone (Olivia from the Cosby Show). She is all grown up now.
Rob says:
It's so interesting to see all our favorite youngin's from the 80's show up once in a while, fake-boobs and all...

Berlinda says:
Don't start any rumors. Anyway, the animals even have all star voices...Norm MacDonald returns as "Lucky",and Lisa Kudrow plays "Eva". My personal favorite is the racoon...I love that Italian accent.
Rob says:
Yea me too! I love it even better when you do your impersonation of that cute little guy, your always BAM! right on the mark. I would also have to say I find the racoon to be quite humorous.

Berlinda says:
Is he your favorite animal from the movie?
Rob says:
Yes, he is as a matter of fact, his little role made me chuckle. And that little Raven-Simone, well I guess we can't call her little anymore with those big fake bazoos!

Berlinda says:
I'm telling you, you're going to get us into trouble. Anyway, on to rating the dvd. I thought the picture quality was very nice. The sound was good, but it could have been better. The extras were great, and the movie was great. What do you think?
Rob says:
The movie was good, I didnt see an edge-enhancing or any artifacting. The darks were nice in the night scenes, really clear picture, the sound was decent just not a huge amout of use out of the surrounds, but hey, this aint Gladiator. A very nice selection of extras ranging from deleted scenes to documentaries on how they got that "big scary bear" to not be soo scary. As for the movie, well done as far as a sequel, you get to see where his new found powers have taken him in life, and how he now has to use them to help stop the destruction of a forest by making it into a preserve for so rare bears. So, while I didn't think it was as funny as the first movie, I definately still thought it was a fun family or date movie, as I said earlier, a fun romp...

Berlinda says:
So,in conclusion, I give video a 3.75, sound a 3.5, movie a 4.5, extras a 4, and that cute little racoon a 5. So overall I give Dr.Dolittle 2 4 stars. How about you?
Rob says:
I would only give the raccoon a 4 and I would give that cute little Berlinda a 5.

Berlinda says:
AAW
Rob says:
I would give the video quality a 3.75, the sound a 3.5, the extras a 3.75 and the movie itself, drum roll please...

Berlinda says:
RRRRRRRRRRRR
Rob says:
Three and three-quarter stars.

Berlinda says:
THAT'S IT?!!??!?!?!?
Rob says:
yes, well, I liked the first movie better, and if i gave this a 4 that would mean Dr. Dolittle part one would get at least a 4.25, and while they are good, i think a 4 star rating for part one and 3.75 is just dandy. Now if you were in it instead of that Raven, then that would be a horse of a different color!

Berlinda says:
Yes it would be. Overall score?
Rob says:
And for the overall it would be... da-dada-du-da-dahhh... a 3.75! Surprised?

Berlinda says:
I disagree with you, and like Ebert and Roepert say, you are a pompous idiot who doesn't know a good movie from your elbow.
Rob says:
Well, I shall take that foul blow and retire from this industry as you have shamed me and my family...

Berlinda says:
So, see you next time?
Rob says:
But one day,one glorious day, I shall return and all will envy me and know me as their king... umm, right... I'll see you next time...
So, I must bid you and all my friends in cpu land adieu.

Berlinda says:
Ok, all you animal lovers go out and rent (or buy) Dr.Dolittle 2...and come back again! (in an Italian accent) Hey, what are you getting all bent outta shape for, I only want a moment of your time. (See the movie, you'll understand) Bye!
Rob says:
Now thats what I am talking about, come over here before I gotta break ya knees so I can lay one on ya... Bye!
