We gave Excalibur...

Rob says:
Hello Berlinda
Berlinda says:
Hello Roberto
Rob says:
Today we are here to review the movie "Excalibur"
Berlinda says:
Yes, I have not seen this movie yet, but I bought it for Rob for his birthday
Rob says:
Yes, a truly great movie, which is especially good to me because I love King Arthur lore.
Berlinda says:
So what exactly is this movie about
Rob says:
This movie tells the story of the coming of the King. It starts with Arthur's father and how Arthur was concepted. Later on we see how he becomes king, and then makes his kingdom grand but then through infidelity loses it all and his fight to regain it all. All of this is done through the help of the mystical sword of power, Excalibur and the wizard, Merlin. Excellently done, the cinematography is just beautiful and and the story is simply great, no other way to put it, just great.
Berlinda says:
Well, I saw a little bit of the movie, and I don't think the picture quality was superb...the sound was alright...were there any extras?
Rob says:
Well, the transfer was very good, they did a nice job of cleaning all of the dirt and scratches off of the original negative, and the sound was ok, nothing too special, not even surround sound. The extras were a no-show, just the trailer, which I don't really think that any of us can really call the trailer an "extra" any more than we can call "Sweet Sweetback's Baaaadass Song" a movie (yes, I am sorry to say that that is a real "movie", you have to see it to believe it folks).
Berlinda says:
So, until I take the time to watch the movie completely, I give it a 2.5.
Rob says:
Are you rating the movie or the nudity?
Berlinda says:
The movie, but the part I happened to see was a sex scene...
Rob says:
So, it seems as I am not the one that likes rampant pornography, remember my dear, you bought this for me, or, was it in fact... for yourself!
Berlinda says:
Yeah but it was on your wishlist....anyway, what do you give the movie?
Rob says:
I give this sugar coated fun fest (and by sugar, I mean blood), a 2 for sound, and 3 for video, a 1 for extras and a 4 for the movie itself, a really really good movie, too bad the other stuff has to bring it down. Overall, I give it a 3 out of five because the movie itself is just so damn good.
Berlinda says:
Blah....well folks, unless Rob has anything else he would like to add, this concludes our review of Excalibur, my guess is a pure guy flick.
Rob says:
Ha, you have never been so wrong in all your days as a woman! The love triangle between Arthur, Gwenevyer and Lancelot is non-pareil, and I challenge anyone to disprove the fact!
Berlinda says:
Ok, if you can disprove me, email us. Until then, see you later!
Rob says:
SeeYA!
