Hello Robbie

Rob says:
Hello Berlinda

Berlinda says:
What movie are we here to review today?
Rob says:
We are here to review Rush Hour today.
How does that sound?
Berlinda says:
Sounds good.
Rob says:
So...
This movie stars Jackie Chan and the loud mouth Chris Tucker in a movie where East meets West and it aint Shanghai Noon. Chan is an ace Hong Kong detective who has a close friend who is about to depart to become an ambassador to the U.S. This friend is also the father of a little girl that Chan would give his life to protect. So, in America, the ambassador's daughter is kidnapped and thus Chan comes abroad to rescue her. This is where Tucker comes in as a street detective, who is not held in too high regard in his precinct, who is sent to "escort" Chan so as to not let him interfere in this FBI case with the ambassador's daughter. But as quick as old chan is, he gets out and eventually they are both on the way to attempting to crack the case. Of course shenanigans and the like are plenty abound, and with a more straight arrow character like Chan, and an off-the-wall character like Tucker, you are sure to laugh and be very entertained the whole way through.
Berlinda says:
I think that Jackie Chan's is really funny and it's funny too the trouble he gets in when he tries to speak English. And I think Chris Tucker is funny too. This is a movie everyone can enjoy...though I don't think there is really any romance in the movie. But this is a movie that can appeal to wide audiences.
The sound on this movie is not spectacular, but the picture is nice and clear. The dvd did have a LOT of extras, and the extras are fun too. After seeing this movie I wanted to run around the house and use a pool cue to fend off Rob's attacks, then use the same pool cue to hurt him.
Rob says:
The same one!?!
Berlinda says:
Yes, the same one.
Rob says:
Ouch... I knew there was a reason that you have a jacket that says "Fightin' Fernandez."
Berlinda says:
I would never wear a jacket like that.
Rob says:
Your right, that joke hurt worse than the pool cue. My bad, guys.
Berlinda says:
So, what did you think of the dvd?
Rob says:
I think that the audio had some good points, nothing overall amazing, but it had a couple of goodies. The video too was pretty good, nothing to much I can complain about, not any scratchies or dusting that I could see. But again, not the most amazing transfer I have ever seen. And you are right, it had a very good amount of extras, extra scenes, behind the scenes, bloopers, etc. Boy, I can never get enough of seeing that guy get hurt. For the really good stuff though, check one of his older ones, boy, what they do to people in other countries!
Berlinda says:
So, I give the sound a 3.5, video 3.5, extras a 4.5, the movie a 4 and Rob a 1 for his lame jokes.
That's about 3.75 stars
Rob says:
Oh yea? Well I give you a 1 in the girlfriend department.
Cuz you are 1 HOT BABE!
Berlinda says:
The dvd rating please....but thank you anyway.
Rob says:
Guess who's sleeping on the couch... anyways... I give the movie itself a 3 and a half, the sound a 3 and a half, the video a 4 and the extras a 4 and a quarter. And my total that is not, I repeat, IS NOT an average (I do that for dramaticism), is a 3 and a 3 quarter star.
Berlinda says:
Well, what do you know folks, we agree for the first time without compromising!
Rob says:
Y I oughtta!
