Indeed, can you give us some specs on this flic?

Sure. This movie is a drama about a man named Randolph Junuh (Matt Damon) who used to be a great golfer but had a horrible experience in World War 1. Because of this he stopped playing golf and kept an extremely low public profile. This movie is the story about his rise back to being a great golfer, thanks to the help of Bagger Vance (Will Smith) and his love interest, Adelle (Charlize Theron).

This was a movie bought by Berlinda without either of us knowing what it was about or if it was good, but, I have to give her credit on this one, this was a really great feel good movie, the likes of which I have not seen in a great while.
Berlinda says:
This movie was excellent, and should have done better money wise...definitly a sleeper-hit.

To tell you the truth I was quite surprised by the quality of this movie, before I saw it, the name just pushed me away and even though she owned it, I hadn't planned on seeing it, at least not any time soon. But I am very glad we sat down to watch this one, it turned out to be a very pleasing out for the eyes heart and most definitely the SOUND.
(nice segway huh?)

Very nice...would you like to talk about how awesome the movie sounded, and how in the outdoors night scene, if you sat in your living room with the lights off you would swear you were outside?

My o' my, this movie simply has some of the best 5.1 sound available on a DVD today. I was so surprised, even now when I think about it, I would not have expected such a great amount of detail to be given (in the sound department) to this kind of movie. Usually great feats of sound a reserved for action movies with guns blaring and explosions lighting the screen, but this movie really surprised me with its attention to detail, from the rustling of papers to voices coming at you from all directions, from the swing of a golf club that will simply blow your mind, to the sounds of a cool summer night with crickets chirping and that dull humm that comes with residing in a rural area, simply amazing. Yes yes, I will stop foaming at the mouth now.

The movie was good, the picture was nice and clear, and the sound was astounding...this movie will get a high rating for sure

Excellent movie, very satisfying and the film was transferred to dvd very cleanly, excellent job actually, sound, video, and movie all very good.
I will give it a 5 star rating for sound (could you guess?), a 4 star rating for movie and picture. Is there something I am forgeting dear?

I don't think so, this was a very good movie that is worth renting, at the very least. Give it a chance, keep an open mind and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
The special features were lacking (pretty much only a trailer), so that gets a 1, but other than that, 4 stars in my book! And once I figure out how to do half stars, I'll give it 4 and a half!
