Our rating system is based on a five-star system. Our review of movies will result in a rating for each movie in which they can attain up to five stars, five being the highest and none being the lowest. A five star rating can only be achieved by movies that are the best in all catagories including sound, video, story, and extras.

We gave The Wedding Singer

Berlinda says:
Hello Robbie.
Rob says:
Hello my Valentine.

Berlinda says:
Today we are here to review The Wedding Singer, one of my favorite movies.
Rob says:
This is going to be our Valentine's Day review is it not my dear?

Berlinda says:
Yes it is, I am making Rob buckle down for a few minutes to get this done. The Wedding Singer is a romantic comedy about two friends, Robbie and Julia (played by Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore), and the story that follows their respective love lives. Maybe they are meant for each other? You'll have to watch it and see.
Rob says:
Yes, a good heart-felt movie where you actually get to see sandler in a more serious role, but really, how serious can you be if the movie is set in the 80's. That was one of the big things about this movie when it came out, its accurate representation of the era that so many of us lived through and now laugh at, the 80's. Big hair, crazy clothes, and the moonwalk are all here as some funny back drops to this quirky romantic comedy.
I know I was surprised when I liked this movie, but it really is a good date movie, as well as a cute dvd to sit down with the love of your life and watch.

Berlinda says:
This is one of my favorite movies, I think I wore the dvd down. But seriously, this movie is not too sweet, it has the right mix of romance and comedy for everyone to enjoy. Definitly an awesome flick.
Rob says:
Yup, a good romantic comedy. Tell us what you thought about the sound Berlinda.

Berlinda says:
The sound is ok, there is not much need for anything big I guess. The picture is pretty though.
Rob says:
Yes, I agree, the sound is ok, nothing fancy, but hey remember what they did with The Legend of Bagger Vance, that was pretty impressive, and you wouldn't expect great sound out of that genre of movie, but there is. Here not so much attention was paid. The picture too is pretty good, sometimes the colors aren't as nice and loud as they should be in an 80's era flick, but there pretty good. What did you think of the extras?

Berlinda says:
I think that the exras were decent, I personally like the karaoke section, but they also have cast & crew bios, but I was disappointed that there were no outtakes, I get a real kick out of those.
Rob says:
Me too, especially when chinese people get hurt (reference Rush Hour 2 review). But besides that, at the very least its better then a dvd with just the trailer or something of that sort. I apreciated the karaoke feature, even if I can't keep up with the Sugar Hill Gang.

Berlinda says:
So, here is my breakdown...sound 3.5 stars, video 3.75 stars (but I was really impressed when I saw it on tv, you can really tell how much nicer dvds are), extras a 3, and the movie...a 4.5. Yeah yeah, I loved it ok? So on average, as a dvd not the movie itself, I give it a 3.5 stars. How about you Rob?
Rob says:
Well well well, I am going to have to give the sound a 3 star rating, the video quality a 3.25, the extras a 3 and the movie itself, a 3.75. Overall I give this Valentine's day badboy a 3.5, I added an extra .25 because I love the moonwalk, YEA GO 80'S!

Berlinda says:
But there was no moonwalk in the movie...
Rob says:
Oh
Really?

Berlinda says:
Oh no wait, there was, in the bar scene. My mistake.
Rob says:
Ah ha! Once again the power of the 80's has lifted me to triumph over my naysaying opponent, I shall cherish this great victory for eons upon eons...

Berlinda says:
You do that. Ok people, have a happy Valentine's Day...Adios!!
Rob says:
Vaya con amor!
