Slow Start
Topic: WC - Daily Practice
Sunday 1Apr07 9:34pm

I'm such a slow starter on the weekend. Try as I might I just can't seem to get it all together. I get the food going because I have no choice, I don't want to be without the good lunch during the week. But the writing is always shaky on the weekend. I've got so much more time to do it in and somehow I keep acting like I've got all the time in the world. I'm really going to work on that next weekend. I'd like my days to be more free on the weekend. If I could just get my ass going at 5am to write until 9am even that's a good 4 hours and I could write more in the evening.

It's really amazing how a good brisk hour long walk is such a mood elevator. I went for another walk for just under an hour and I feel great. It's all coming together. I know it is but I always want to push myself harder because I know what I am capable of. And it's much more than I've been accomplishing. My plan for April, May and June is to push myself as hard as I can and see what I come up with by July. I think the most amount of hours of writing I've made it to is 12 hours and that was this past week despite all the fuckery. I still need to crack the 21 hour goal. This week for sure dammit, this week for sure!

It's Diana Ross on Inside the Actor's studio. I never did see the Wiz and never realized that she sings the shit out of Home. I'm sure they'll show it on TCM eventually. I know that Quincy Jones hated working on it and called it shoveling shit. Maybe that's why I never watched it. She seems to be doing interview and cabaret, which is kind of interesting. Elton John did something similar although less cabaret like. It's a good thing I checked to see who was on because it's two hours not the one hour I set the VCR for. Yeah I still use a VCR!

Went for my walk and my neighbour caught me again just before I left and asked me if I'd be her work out partner. So at some point we will be going out on a regular basis. On my walk some guy driving a red Lexus lifted his nose and then did the come here head motion to me. Sorry Buddy. I deeked down a side street. Didn't he make a U-turn (a U-ey in the rue-ey as Mom used to say) and follow me down the side street then slow down and say, "Hey How are you?"
Okay creepy, why do men think that shit's okay? That's fucking creepy behaviour. If I'd wanted to meet you, I'd have come over the first time you beckoned. Following me is certainly not going to get me to talk to you. Creep! If he'd continued on my path I was going to get his driver's license and post it on the web... Fucker!

Walked through Yorkville and then through Queen's Park and chatted about White Wishes on my digital recorder. Using some of the past week's frustrations as material for Kali's frustrations. The emotion is still close might as well pilfer from it.

The cook came out from the kitchen at my Sunday Morning breakfast place to rub my bald head. I keep forgetting that I'm bald and wonder why people are staring at me. Oh Yeah it's because I have no hair! I forget that it's supposed to be a radical thing to shave your head when you're a woman. What did that article say? Mentally unstable? Yeah that's it.

I don't know how I ever lived without a rice cooker before. I no longer have to because of course my Filipino boss gave me one for my birthday. Just set it and forget it. Going to cook some fresh Salmon for dinner, my weekend treat/ritual. It's still early enough to go out for another walk after dinner. Might as well get a jump on the steps for April and Warrior woman is a taskmaster. Shelley does the walking, Warrior Woman does the stairs.

I'm hoping April Aries is kinder than March Aries. I thought it might be better to split it up that way. Let's see how that decision pans out.

Hitting the books until dinner is ready.

Because I got nabbed one year by Google, I went in search of their current April Fool's Joke. I love how elaborate they make em...

James Lipton/ Bernard Pivot/ Proust
Topic: WC - Daily Practice
Sunday 8:31am 1Apr07

One of my favorite shows is Inside the Actor's Studio. I'm always interested to hear how different actor's are going to answer the questionnaire at the end of James Lipton's interview. Decided since I'll never be interviewed by him I'd answer the questionnaire here:

1. Favorite Word - inspiration
2. Least Favorite Word - Cougar (as a description of a woman)
3. What turns me on - wit
4. What turns me off - sarcasm
5. Sound or noise I love - happy baby sounds
6. Sound or noise I hate - dog yelping in pain
7. Favorite curse word - Fuckery as a whole, cunt for shock value
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt - singer, dancer, architect
9. Profession wouldn't want to attempt - Politician
10. If God exists, what would you like to hear at the pearly gates - I have a nice place for you to sit, talk with your mother and write.

Happy Belated Birthday to Writing2live
Topic: Another Entry
Saturday 8:25am 31Mar07

Celebrate good times come on!

I just realized that I have been blogging for a year as of yesterday. Everything I've read about blogging in general is that most people never make it beyond a few months. So I'm pretty happy to see that I did make it through a full year. I've got 363 entries which is pretty much an entry a day.

I still think that blogging is one of the best writing practices for a writer. You have to think in different ways in order to find things to talk about and hopefully one or two people will drop by. I've gone from as low as two people reading me a day and as high as 351 people checking out my words. I've had people contact me from England and the United States and who knows where else some of my readers have come from.

It's been fun. Happy Birthday to Writing2live! Time for virtual cake and ice cream.

We're gonna have a good time tonight, let's celebrate, it's all right!
