Blog-a-thon Piece -- Black & White
Topic: WC - Blogathon
I don't know if I'll actually continue with the piece but as long as I'm still in the house I can continue with it.
I really haven't been in the sun enough this summer and so right now I'm caught between this writing experiment and getting out and enjoying the day. So who knows how much longer I will last. I still have a few things to do before I go out mind you, like wash my hair and braid it. And change the kitty litter. So we'll see...

Black & White
I wonder what would it be like to be interrogated by the police? What reason would I (or a character like me) be interrogated by the Police?
They find out who her brother is. He is on the run and they are positive that he is going to come to her.

"Miss Belanger, we need to ask you questions about your brother Nick." the built officer says. He has a soft expression like he might actually believe what Nadine will say.
The other cop, the chubby one has a sour expression. He looks like all the stereotypes that black people have of the brutal cop just looking to abuse another black criminal. In this cops eyes, all black people are criminals.

Nadine wanted to trust that the cops would see her as she was, a good hard working citizen but she also had to be realistic. Whenever she talked about her brother and his past criminal activities, nadine always imagined that people were envisioning a black man. She wanted to announce before she told any story about her brother that although she was black, her brother Nick was white.

She admitted that she had issues surrounding race and colour. Deep down she believed that most people still saw black people in sterotypes and because of that she had to hold onto some of the stereotypes she was raised with about white people and the police in order not to be blind sighted.

I'm about ready for a nap
Topic: WC - Blogathon
It wouldn't be that easy to do this blogathon thing for the full 24 hours after all. You've got to make sure that whatever you do it's less than a half hour. You can't allow yourself to get lost in dusting or something like that.

My typing fingers are not exactly cooperating with me and my shoulder is killing me. But... this is also a nice warm up for the labour day novel writing contest that happens every year. I'll have to find the link. Um! found it. It's actually called the 3-Day Novel Contest

There's always something to get you to challenge those writing muscles past the inner critic...
I'm going to lie down,

Blog-a-thon Piece

If I were to wrte a continuing piece what would I write? It would have to literally be from scratch.
Yesterday while on my lunch break I was reading a novel, The Sword Cabinet by Robert Edric. In it there are scenes of a character being interrogated by the police.

I wonder what would it be like to be interrogated by the police? What reason would I (or a character like me) be interrogated by the Police?

I got a free tarot reading from the shattered prayer: Romance? Yes!

it's funny too because last night in conversation with a friend I told him, "you have to find some balance within before you attract love."
He kept saying, "but I've done that, but I've done that."

In my opinion, he hasn't... He wants a relationship for all the wrong reasons... sigh!
It makes me wonder about people. Oh well!

I've made my smoothie: blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, mango and pineapple, with ice cubes, orange juice, cranberry juice and flax seeds and plain yogurt. Most tasty and enjoyable.

Another thought came to me for the blogathon is that you could try to write a blogathon novel or play or short story. Continuing with each post. Really is a good thing for writers...

One Fan at a time
Topic: WC - Blogathon
I don't know why I'm really trying to come up with a new title each time. That's crazy.
It was cool enough last night that I could turn off all my fans. Slowly this morning I'm turning on one fan at a time as it gets a little warmer in the apartment. I think this might be a scorcher of a day.

There's a music festival in the beaches which I'm still debating if I can get my butt together and rollerblade out there. Time will tell.

I was thinking about how this blogothon could be a good thing for a writer. Literally as I was standing in the kitchen prepping the ingredients for my smoothie I was also thinking about what I would write about next. This could be a good thing. It's a good training to get one to do other things and think about their writing at the same time but with more of a sense of urgency...

it's all good.
