Of all the Black Moon's droids, I like Esmeraude's the best. Unlike most droids of the Black Moon, a lot of Esmeraude's actually had some brains, and actual plans instead of simply serving as a punching bag for the Senshi. Let's take a closer look at Esmeraude's lovely little group of MOTDs. |

Magipan(Marzipan) --Magipan was probably the most well-known droid, especially since her first and only appearance was with Esmeraude herself. Her powers consisted mostly of pastries and other sweets. She was able to hold off Mars', Venus', and Jupiter's attacks and turn them into sweets. Unfortunately, Magipan had a very strong weakness…water, and ironically Mercury, the weakest of the Senshi took her down a couple of notches before Sailormoon finished her off. Rating: 6 Udering(Regalia) --Udering was the droid for episode 70, and was probably the least remembered. Since this episode was focused more on Usagi's and Mamoru's relationship, she wasn't seen much at all. Her power consisted of infusing bracelets and other jewelry with dark energy. Rating: 2 Parumakon(Injector) --Parumakon was another one of those lost droids. Her epsiode was a memorable one though, she was the droid for the 'Nurse Minako' episode. Though I didn't see any actual power from her, she pinned Minako to the wall pretty good with those syringes of hers! Rating: 3 Dogma(Animal Instinct) --This was one of my favorite droids. Though she seemed to be rather soulless, she did have some of the coolest attacks. The skimpy outfit complete with whip was unbelievably cool. She was shown fairly often too, and I loved it when she was making the animals do tricks and then siccing them on the visitors. The way she worked that whip was awesome. Rating: 7 Giwak(Mistrust) --My favorite droid. Giwak was one tough droid, both physically and mentally. Not only was she an awesome fighter, her mental abilities kicked major posterior. Giwak's hallucinations almost had Mercury completely under her spell, and her illusions kicked Tux's butt pretty damn good! A definite winner! Rating: 10 Chiral/Achiral(Doom/Gloom) --This was a cool pair of droids who could easily pass for Kunzite's little brothers. When I first saw them, I immediately cracked up. Watch their gaze when they first speak to Esmeraude…you'll see that they're watching her arse. Hee! The twosome do have substantial powers, including the ability to possess an entire school, and create forcefields of dark energy that trap the Senshi. They probably would have succeeded had the Rabbit not released all that energy. Rating: 8.5 Ryuakas(Genie of the Time Warp) --Ryuakas didn't do much for me. Though her powers were great, she didn't do much with them. She just basically talked and bragged. She did manage to pull of a good imitation of the Neo-Queen though. Too bad her tongue gave her away. Rating: 3 |
