An overwhelming feeling as I approached close enough to snap my first picture of this German landmark! This is the schloss(castle) in which Pfaltzgraff depicted its trademark.

Side view of the Pfalzgrafenstein castle.Built in 1326, it has endured many seasons. On the left end just before the white begins there is a small statue of the heraldic lion. The sword he held was once knocked out of his paws by a massive ice flow.

My husband and I stood in awe of this beautiful, colossal church in Spieskappel, Germany. The double doors climb to a 20 foot stretch alone! Johannes George Pfaltzgraff was married here just prior to sailing to America.
